Here's Brazil's call up list (courtesy of tuttomercatoweb):

Thiago called up, Pato and Ronaldinho NOT.

Not surprised Pato's not called up - he's had a pretty poor season really bar his goals. Injuries and form have blighted him.

Ronaldinho was never being called up in a month of Sundays.

Just a note/reminder: the preliminary lists have to be submitted tomorrow (May 11). Some are already out.

EDIT:

For example, here's the Spain squad:

The Spanish squad is disgusting. It's almost unfair to have a team that good.

Somehow I'm not as sad as I normally should be for Pato's omission.

He's young, I believe he'll be monster in time for the next world Cup, which is in Brazil and the Micky Mouse won't be around anymore to ruin it for them with his stupid decisions. plus, he's had an injury-plagued season which caused his form to drop as well. no coach would have called him up. unless he was Robinho or something, and that coach was Mr. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) .

Shame about Dinho, though. what more should he have done to prove he deserves to be there instead of, say, Baptista?

I wish Brazil a horrible World Cup. can't wait to see them fail big time.

I will just say it's going to be a great World Cup if you're a Scotland/Wales/Ireland fan.

I will be happy if we play our best XI in every game and have no injuries and make no subs, because were fucked if we do. Carragher, Walcott, Parker, King and Huddlestone are slightly embarassing picks. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I'm generally positive and see the QFs as a great acheivment, but were going to fail. Much to the joy of all the none-English Brits that I know.

So you don't really agree with the Sun's optimism. Maybe, just maybe...

Works for me. That way Ronaldinho and Pato will be healthy when the season starts in September.

Agreed.

But I still feel sorry for both of our players, especially for Dinho, who's pretty much done all he can to justify his inclusion, yet Baptista, Robinho, etc get picked over him...

Hopefully Brazil fail as badly as they did 4 years ago
