QUOTE (Protagonist @ Dec 24 2009, 10:51 PM) Ronaldinho Frozen Out For The SeasonIn a tragic event AC Milan superstar, Ronaldo de Assis Moreira otherwise known as Ronaldinho was rushed to Hospital Central Policia Militar in Rio de Janeiro. He is in a critical condition where he is treated in the Emergency hall of the hospital and surgery is underway. (IMG: http://people.ucsc.edu/~zgorman/ronaldinho.jpg) Police Chief Davi Liema, "By-standers who witnessed the accident said there was a hit-and-run event". The local police are on the search for the culprit who drives a green Ford Focus. Brazilian National Team Coach Dunga said in a statement, "A crime was committed, I have faith in our police to bring in the aggressor". Asked whether this incident would shatter the superstar's chance for a place in the Brazilian team's selection, Dunga slammed "This is not a time for football, this is a time where Gaucho needs us all at his side!" Initial reports coming from the Hospital in Rio de Janeiro compiled that Ronaldinho had shattered three chest bones with intensive internal bleeding. Yet it is still early to assert how life threatening the same could be. QUOTE (il_diavolo_mtl @ Dec 25 2009, 01:12 AM) in defense, i don't see our problems being as grim as they seam to be, we own alot of quality defenders at the moment, despite them not being at milan :Diniz, darmian, digao(has surprisingly played well in action for first placed lecce)Albertazzi, astori and so on... I beleive we should sell kaladzhe to any fool willing to buy him from us, and replace him buy astori, which is the cheapest solution. People forget that bonnera is a very good backup and with astori learning from thiago silva and nesta, he can build from his good form in calgriari. At fullback, i think we can solve the problem internally, by selling janku and replacing him wih one of either darmian, diniz or crowd favorite, Albertazzi. Of course another course of action would be to sign a suitable starter of make this a position of need and go after adriano of sevilla(who has been linked alot with us and no one has bothered mooting it). That being said i absolutely love this kid Belluschi from catania, the kid is only 20 and has shut down most of serie A's best LBs/LMs/LWs with rino-like toughness. That being said i expect zambrotta and a purchased fullback to start ahead of antonini and diniz, who has looked good on a team that hasn't this year. We will probably extend albertazzi's co-own deal to let him evolve as a player a la Paloschi. My choices for the external solution are Belluschi/Adriano/Sagna/moretti/criscito. I don't think Albertazzi will play an important role for us next season seeing as he has not been involved at all in this one.

QUOTE Standard Liege stalwart Milan Jovanovic is said to be nearing a summer switch to AC Milan after rejecting interest from Hamburg. The 28-year-old has been a breakout star in this year's Champions League, having broken into the Serbian national side two years ago. Now, according to Standard powerbroker Luciano D'Onofrio, the time is ripe for a move to Italy. Speaking to Belgian magazine Sport, the vice-president stated that AC Milan are close to matching Standard's valuation of the player. This should see Hamburg's interst come to a close, as it is not thought that the German side are willing to prosecute a bidding war. goal.com ------------------------------- News:
- Inter have offered Pandev 3m a year on a 5 year contract.
- Arsenal, Genoa and FC Twente have offered Milan a "loan" deal for Huntelaar
- Abbiati has said he's staying 100% forsure.
- Juve have bid 12 m for Rafinha.

This means they want a loan with a buy option. Set this price at/near Dzeko's and loan him(if we must)...of course they'll refuse. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE Ronaldinho's brother, Roberto Assis, has been seriously approached by Botafogo about a transfer from AC Milan. Mauro Azevedo, a transfer consultant in Rio de Janeiro, today disclosed this information to Globoesporte. He said, "Botafogo made a formal bid, which was bold and feasible. "It's all black and white, so this isn't just a rumour. Assis himself is clearly happy with it and I think that it can go ahead." Botafogo's interest in the former Barcelona man is well-known, with their ability to pay his wages hinging on a series of sponsorships and commercial opportunities said to be in the works. QUOTE Speaking at TMW, Dario Canovi known attorney and expert on football, talked about the situation of Goran Pandev with great clarity: "which team is the nearest to the Macedonian? Inter is the closest. if the deal is not already done, its pretty close to finalizing...", said Canovi.
source: tmw He's gone...sigh.... Now mourinho has: Quaresma, Mancini, Eto, Milito, Balotelli, Aurnatovic, suazo, and Pandev (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Dec 26 2009, 07:21 PM) How many strikers do they need?!? I can't believe we didn't move for him... I do actually. If we're going for Dzeko next summer...Pandev is a complete waste of money and time.
