(IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Olympiacos have axed their newest coach after 6 official games 5 of which they won and 1 ended a draw. They have conceded 1 goal. He was axed because the team lost 5-0 in a friendly last week with half of the first team players missing. It's ridiculous how everyone (the fans and the press) reacted to it, they are a big club in Greece but they made it look like the end of the world. He's the first coach I know of that was fired because of a bad defeat in a friendly. He was the 25th coach of the 16 years the current president has been running the club.

I've been told by some German players that Greece is the promised land for mediocre players because you don't have to pay any taxes and don't train very often since it's too warm. That's what they claim at least.

Yup. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Sorry! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) We don't have a lot of people who talk the SPL, unless it's about Celtic and Rangers...that mainly comes in the CL/Europa section...

The only games I ever make comment on, on here, are the Old Firm games. Though it's been an interesting start to the season, Rangers really getting their share of luck, late penalty to win a game, late penalty savedd to keep a point. Shame it's always the same 2 teams so far ahead (except for Hearts a few years back, but a one off).

Fishdoll has a question! Which SPL team is it whose fans bring blow-up sheep to games? Those make Fishdoll giggle.

Ooo! Montreal. I've seen them play on telly! They did rather well last summer in...what tournament was it? Better than the MLS teams, that much I recall.
Fishdoll wonders which position you play on the pitch, mtl?

Fishdoll wonders which position you play on the pitch, mtl? most recently they won (last year) the Canadian Danonne Cup for best team in Canada, after having faced a top MLS team (toronto F*C*) and this year toronto raided the montreal squad which meant their backups were forced to starters, which ultimately benefitted me as i was having a great season for my AAA team, so me and my striker were both called in to discuss a potential signing to the youth team, with a slim chance to start first year (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) i've played all positions except fwd, but i found my best position has been Playmaking holding midfielder where i can retain the defensive responsibilities i've learned for 13 years (i was a LB/RB) and get to make runs and cross (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) . I must say though, with a stricter coach, i would not be alowed to roam, and ultimately not have been called up to team U-18 quebec 2 years ago (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
