But Kurt......SANTIAGO MUNOZ plays for Newcastle! I saw it in the movies! Surely that must give them cool points (even though Harchester would totally kick their ***). (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Yeah, Harchester were way better! I'm by no means calling Villa a huge club, we're not, I'm not an idiot. But even compred to us Newcastle are nothing. Their fans just don't seem to get it, they may be passionate, but they know F all about football. "If we get relegated, it'll be like Liverpool going down next season". This is the sort of thing going around their forums towards the end of last season.. get over yourselves. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

It aint gonna stop.
I'll also be shocked if all 4 English teams don't make the CL quater finals.
More talent in La Liga? I don't even think it's close. Yeah Madrid and Barca have the talent, they've always had better players than any of the EPL clubs. But only people with a 'big 4' mentality would say this. Teams like Spurs, Villa, Everton and Man City are far, far better than the 5-8 teams from Spain, in my opinion. We also have decent strength teams in our 2nd division now, I don't think any league is stronger in depth than England.

No i dont think so _ i think the likes of atletico, villareal and valencia would eat your spurs villa and everton alive the talent these teams possess is beyond that of any of them teams u mentioned barring man city who can be classed as a big 4 team sooner or later with that attack it should stop because now they have no basis for there argument there is no c.ronaldo he was the single reason why the prem was soo exciting i hate all these scot commentators like graeme souness and andy gray who bad mouth serie a and cant admit to the fact that la liga will over take the prem and i believe with the constant arrivals of big names c.ronaldo kaka zlatan ibrahimovic alonso and the current names already there its easily the best

QUOTE (Suhail 3 @ Aug 5 2009, 04:46 PM) No i dont think so _ i think the likes of atletico, villareal and valencia would eat your spurs villa and everton alive *Insert Epic Fail picture here* I said, and I quote "Teams like Spurs, Villa, Everton and Man City are far, far better than the 5-8 teams from Spain, in my opinion." Atletico finished 4th, so they shouldn't even be compared with us, they should be with the CL teams. Man City, Villa, Everton, Spurs > Valencia, Villarreal, Malaga, Deportivo. You're also making the error that your opinion is fact. Ronaldo the single reason the EPL was exciting? That's an opinion, not a fact. And no Man City can't be considered a big 4 team, because there can only be 4 'big 4' teams, hence the number 4. That'd mean you'd be comparing Arsenal/Chelsea/United/Liverpool with a team like Valencia, which moves even further into our favour. It's just a difference of opinion, we'll see. But it's funny how you think Newcastle are a big club - a Championship team - yet you think the Spanish League is better? Could you name me some 'big clubs' from the Spanish 2nd division?

QUOTE Rafa Benitez believes Alberto Aquilani would be an exciting addition to his title-chasing squad. Roma have given permission for Liverpool to discuss terms with the 25-year-old, who has yet to take a medical at Melwood.
In an exclusive interview with Liverpoolfc.tv, the boss revealed how Aquilani could fit into his side.
"Roma have allowed us to talk with him, so that's good and positive. He is a player with the quality we are looking for," said Benitez.
"He can play a little bit higher than Javier Mascherano - maybe between him and Steven Gerrard.
"He has good passing - the final ball is good - and he also works. If he can settle down properly in England he can be a very good addition.
"I think the signing should excite the fans. He won the U19 European Championship with his country, and U21 too. He has some trophies - including the Italian Cup.
"I always remember one game - England versus Italy U21s at Wembley, and he was man of the match in a 3-0 win." (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I love it when people I hate make awful mistakes like this. He could at least do his homework! The bolded part at the end, the game in question ended 3-3, not 3-0. Pazzini was MotM, not Aquilani. In fact, Aquilani didn't even play. God Rafa, you really are useless.

Spurs are signing Bassong from Newcastle. Good player, but don't mind him going to Spurs. I like the way this club is run, they have the potential to be in Europe every year, but they refuse to learn from their mistakes. Bassong, Corluka, King, Woodgate and Dawson are all CBs.. what are they going to do when they're all fit? They also have about 5 first team full backs. Ridiculous.
