Great strike by Lampard and he took it with his left foot! QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 30 2009, 06:57 PM) Well done to Hiddink, he really is a World class manager. I'd say Euro class manager... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) in your face!

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 30 2009, 07:53 PM) touche Torres apparently wants Liverpool to sign Villa and Silva. Now that would be a team I'd like to watch but I don't think the man who made goatees look terribly uncool would change the first defensive forward in history for anyone.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 30 2009, 05:41 PM) Yeah, Gattuso is a waste.. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Chelsea should be 3-1 up. Malouda hit the bar and it bounced over the line (much alike in '66 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) except this one wasn't given. The other one should not have been given as well (IMG: style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) Congrats to Chelsea....I bet Everton were only afraid of Ballack biting them and lost on purpose to make it out with all years/other "biteable" parts of their body....

QUOTE (Channel 4) Ancelotti joins Chelsea Monday 1 June, 2009 Chelsea have formally announced the appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as their new manager for next season.
Ancelotti has signed a three-year deal with the Blues and replaces Guus Hiddink, who returns to Russia.
“Carlo was the outstanding candidate for the job,” read a short statement on the Chelsea website. “He has proved over a long period his ability to build teams that challenged for, and have been successful in, major domestic and European competitions.
“He also had a highly successful playing career in those competitions and therefore brings unparalleled all round experience to the job.
“We are sure everybody at Chelsea will give him a warm welcome and we are all looking forward to working with him,” the statement concluded.
Ancelotti left Milan yesterday, terminating a contract that still had a year to run. Leonardo has replaced him. Yawn. I loved Carlo, but to me Chelsea will still remain a club with no history and a few oil money-funded trophies. May their inability to win the CL continue.
