19 year olds may do stupid things, but it doesn't make it right. I highly doubt the girlfriend, or any girl for that matter, would want their boyfriend doing something like this. At least if you're on drugs or are wasting away your talent, the only person you're hurting is yourself, doing things like this, you're hurting someone else.. I know which one I find more acceptable.

I'm in no way absolving him, Kurt. He's definitely going to have to deal with the consequences of his actions -- and I can imagine Stephany (the girlfriend) is not the only one unhappy/hurt/disappointed.

FWIW, I do agree with you; it's less bad, if you're going to be stupid, to do something that hurts only yourself rather than something that hurts others.

How can you possibly say something like that. have you ever had anyone near you who started to destroy him/herself with drugs? are you talking from experience? I don't believe so.

If I was in Stefanie's shoes, I'd rather Pato did something like this than started taking drugs for example. I wish I could ask Stefanie about it...

Okay, I agree with what you're saying, but I disagree with your point. You're comparing what Pato did with somebody destroying their life with drugs which isn't really fair since they're on completely different levels. That would be like me comparing recreational drug use with somebody repeatedly cheating on their girlfriend.. you have to compare at the same level.

If I were given the choice of taking drugs or doing things like this, drugs everytime. Whats the point in basically intentionally hurting your girlfriend? He needs to grow up, fast.

a 19 year old made an error in judgement, God will decide his concequences. We can all be quick to judge but what if you were tossed in the high-life at that young an age, would you be tempted by life's easiest sins?

I find it strange how some are so shocked/appaled by this. First of all it's been out there a while now, I think the first time I saw it was more then a month ago, it was on the google news pages

And I know most of us have this image of Pato as being a kid, which in football terms he is, he's 19 years old, at that age ALL of us do stupid things, and it's not like he's cheating on his girfriend and has an army of children out there.

Yes it's stupid to do something like this, expesing himself on the internet, when he should know better, but I personally don't classify this as cheating on his girlfriend, I think that's a far more serious issue then what he actually did.
