I know this question wasn't directed at me, but I'm still gonna answer it...coz I'm a pirate b!tch!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

If it is to play as a sole treqqie, like against Napoli, then there is no argument. Yoann is better, since it's just his natural position. Little defensive responsibility, complete freedom etc etc...

If it's to play in the mid three, then Seedorf, coz Yoann doesn't convince me defensively. But yes, Yoann could learn to play that role well, maybe even better. But I still think he'd be wasted playing there (so deep). It's not his natural place.

Playing in the X-Mas. Possibly. I can't decide. I think Yoann would be able to play on the right while Kaka plays in his preferred left position, and that would balance our left-heavy attack. But you have to consider that for the 2 players who can play behind our striker in the X-Mas tree, there's Kaka, R80, Seedorf and Yoann. So again it would be back to the same problem of playing time. Seedorf vs R80 vs Yoann.

And knowing our luck, if Yoann were brought in, miraculously all our injury problems in attack would disappear. Borriello would be fighting fit, as would Pippo and Pato. While all our treqqies are fine as well. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Either way, it's a selection headache. I'm glad I don't have to make it.

Hmh, nice contemplation. Nothing to add, it's really a tuff question and problem. Just I'm not convinced gourcuff can play on the right efficiently as he plays on the left.

i think Seedorf does best to get out of tiny areas, because of his great skills, wheras Gourcoff i can probably compare to a much better stankovic who roams and kick a strong ball from everywhere

Goal running a story, about Madrid looking to get Yoann. I presume it's VdV offered in exchange. Another left sided mid. Whoopie! rolleyes.gif

Bordeaux is currently in 3rd place (CL Qualifying), but only one point separates them from 6th. I think if Bordeaux finishes in the top 3, Gourcuff will definitely stay with them.

Bordeaux eye Yoann swoop Thursday 2 April, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

French side Bordeaux are hoping to secure a permanent deal for on-loan Milan midfielder Yoann Gourcuff.

The promising playmaker had been a peripheral figure for the Rossoneri so he was sent out on loan to Ligue 1 to gain some experience.

Gourcuff has been superb in his homeland and Bordeaux want to keep him, but the loan agreement states that they must pay £13m to buy him outright.

“The Coach wants to keep Gourcuff and so do the directors,” Bordeaux chief Jean-Louis Triaud told Aujourd'hui Sport.

“The majority shareholders for the club have said that they will help us achieve our goals.

“The World Cup will take place next summer and France will probably qualify and Gourcuff will be in the team, so it's probably not the best time for him to be unsettled.

“There are many arguments why Yoann should stay here at Bordeaux.”

Guys i can't wait for Gourcuff to return...He's really a rare talent....Every other team wants him..Arsenal, bayern, inter and even Juve but not Milan?...How dumb is dat...Milan have to bring him back...How do they throw away a talented player like him and leave the other shitty players instead of him..Its very hard to understand...The day Seedorf leaves Milan i'll be the happiest human on earth...My mind has been very unstable in every thing i do..My mind's been flying over the place to know what Milan squad would look like next season...I really want him back...My friends that are arsenal, inter, juve and Chelsea supporters said that they'll kill to have Gourcuff...They said that Milan haven't really seen the potential in him jus yet but that he can become one of the best in the world..TRUE TALK!!! He's really improved over one year and i'm really looking forward to seeing him next season

Two goals by Gourcuff as 10-men Bordeaux came back and beat Rennes 3-2, including an injury-time winner. Bravo Yoann!

I still can't see him playing at Milan. For me he is like Gilardibo, but let's be patient and we will see.

QUOTE (Channel4)
Domenech blasts Ancelotti

Friday 1 May, 2009

France boss Raymond Domenech has accused Carlo Ancelotti of being “dishonest” with Milan-owned Yoann Gourcuff.

The young talent flopped in his first season at San Siro, but has flourished since he was loaned out to Bordeaux and has made it into the senior Bleus squad.

This week Ancelotti commented that Gourcuff was “very talented, but weak psychologically.” This statement prompted a furious response from Domenech.

“Gourcuff is 22 years old and is still improving, so what Ancelotti says is meaningless,” Domenech told So Foot.

“It is a serious accusation and in a certain sense a dishonest one, too. But when I first read Ancelotti’s comments, I was happy.

“A player who gets torn apart by a Coach this way cannot help but get motivated. Ancelotti judged him during a time when he was not yet mature, but if Milan signed him then he can’t have been that bad.”

Gourcuff is still owned by the Rossoneri, but his future remains unclear.

Probably the first time ever I concur with Domenech. however I somehow agree with what Carlo says too, that Gourcuff is not psychologically strong. but perhaps he should've said it in a better way and just once, not 305704573049750435704375 times. especially now that he's doing perfectly OK both for Bordeaux and les Bleus.

I conquer with Domenech

I think you meant "concur," Zeddie. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Gila couldn't handle the pressure of a big club, and Gourcuff didn't show any signs of doing likewise. Lest we forget, Bordeaux is no Milan by any means. His performances over there aren't enough to make me jump on the "bring Gour back!" bandwagon yet.
