how do you know he wasn't trying in training? Hes a paid professional and i'm basing it on that. How do you know he's not trying? Were you at milanello at that time everyday?


We gave up gourcuff for 15 million. If we had given him an opurutunity and believed him it could be a different story today. When he moved to this club, he had confidence and he showed it on the pitch. At the end he looked like a completely different player. Much worst than he was when he first arrived. Whose to blame for that? carlo.

And blaming Ancelotti for the perceived ills of the world has, frankly, gotten a little old. Feel free to rant, stick pins in your Carlo doll, scream bloody murder, whatever. I'm done trying to engage in discussions that are, basically, silly - at least to my point of view. Ditto goes for Gourcuff The Innocent Victim rants. Post all you want but like Fillipo, I'm staying out of those too.

I just dont get you guys!! I"m sorry and with all due respect but I just can't see how you guys are okay with carlo saying those things but are okay with him fielding seedorf. He pretty much frankly says gourcuff is trash but fields a worst player, seedorf. He says beckham is tech/tactically better than kaka when a non-football fan clearly can see who is technically and tactically better on the field.


I'm sorry I just can't see how you guys are fine with us giving up one of our best youth player for virtually next to nothing and our coach is the number 1 person to blame for this.

Because Gourcuff is doing very well in France and he's got alot of attention from the media even Galliani said good things about Yoann. Ancelotti is the only one who got nothing good to say about him.

I don't know if it's correct what Carlo said, but it sounds fair. He said in a frank way that he didn't give Gourcuff much playing time. That it's hard to play good in does 15 minutes. But also that his problem is mental, not directly related to the 15 minutes he played - and on what I totally agree, based on what I've seen on Gourcuff both in Milan and Bordeaux. Yohann has such problems, this I belive is true.

Actually, I don't think all the praise helps Gourcuff.

Why? The praise makes him feel confident. You need confidence as an athlete to succeed. Look at him under us when he had zero confidence. I think blanc has done an excellent job bringing gourcuff's talent out. Much better than our stupid mental handicap has done.

I'm not implying that Carlo is an innocent victim in this situation, but I think it's too easy to go whole hog and blame him for Gourcuff's not succeeding over here. Some players just aren't meant for certain leagues/clubs and Gour is no exception. Look at R. Oliveira; he sucked in Serie A but has lit it up in La Liga for two different teams. Meanwhile, Gour is at ease in his home country and has probably found it far easier to adapt to Ligue 1 than the Italian defensive slugfest.

well yes you are absoloutly right about oliveria. But what is the big difference between oli and gourcuff? Simple one got a chance, the other did not.

Oli was sheva's replacement and of course we were going to give him time, there was no one else.

Gourcuff was looked as another young talent for carlo to destroy, like viudez.

So we cannot be fully sure of this until he is given his chance. If he moves to juve or inter and plays well, we will look like inter with seedorf and pirlo.

I'm with blue in this one. I'm not saying it is entirely Carlo's fault that Gourcuff was unable to perform in Milan but let's state the obvious. He wasn't even given enough chance to prove himself. Unless he played enough games like Gilardino or Oliveira then we can safely say Carlo is right.

Gourcuff scored in the 10th minute against Le Havre. The game is 2:0 right now for Bordeaux in the 62 minute. Anyone have the goal?
