Before today's match (obviously):
Gianluca Pagliuca Hoping For Inter Win In Derby
The now former footballer is siding with the Nerazzurri in the derby della Madonnina scheduled for Serie A's matchday 24 this weekend.
Former Inter goalkeeper Gianluca Pagliuca has fond memories of the derbies he played against Milan between 1994 and 1999.
Pagliuca revealed how he never suffered a defeat against the Rossoneri in Serie A, and hopes that the Nerazzurri can increase the lead over their opponents on Sunday evening.
"I played in ten league derbies, of which six ended in a draw and four we won. Therefore, I never lost," explained the former player to Itasportpress.
"On the other hand, in Coppa Italia I played three games with two wins and one defeat. Winning a derby is always beautiful, it rewards you with a great joy.
"The fans particularly care about it and they celebrate for at least a week. For Sunday's game, I see a very motivated Milan side.
"They are eight points behind and will do everything they can to decrease the gap. As a former Inter goalkeeper, I can only side with the Nerazzurri."
During his long career, Pagliuca spent five seasons at Inter, playing 165 Serie A games before joining Bologna in 1999, where he spent seven seasons and played a total of 248 leagues games for the Felsinei.

QUOTE (MizNelson @ Feb 16 2009, 10:29 AM) What the hell is wrong with me; I'm posting too much Inert stuff. But this is the Paolo banner from early in the game. (I can't read the last word, however.) (IMG: http://www.curvanordmilano.net/albums/album22/INTER_milan_15_02_09.jpg) Thanks for the picture! The last word is leale. QUOTE (Zed.D @ Feb 16 2009, 10:35 AM) What was the translation, again? "for 20 years our rival, but also a gentleman"? 'for 20 years our rival but in life always fair'

QUOTE (Josephine) “I would've said it was a goal. His movement was to head the ball and that was his intention, so it is involuntary. There are some situations that are difficult to judge,” assured the Coach.
“On the other hand, there are easy decisions, like [Massimo] Ambrosini, who should've had a second booking and a red." (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Adriano's clear handball goal is difficult to judge while Ambrosini's foul deserved a yellow and it's also an easy decision? Please bust this arrogant pr__k, he does not know what he's talking about! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

As I said earlier on, best would be now to sit down, relax, and enjoy the Milan-moments while they're still lasting...

QUOTE (Ry4n @ Feb 16 2009, 05:57 PM) is the team being disbanded cheer up man , at least we did'nt play a bad game , as R7 said we played good but didn't win , i hope i doesnt affect our moral but i think it will after all its the Derby we will get them next season No we won't. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Not if the squad/coach/tactics stay the same. And no, I'm not disappointed that we lost the match, after all it's one of the three possible results. What disappoints me is that we got to a point where we pegged our season success on this one match. Had we been winning regularly, we'd probably still be level or a couple of points higher than inter. Had we won the small matches, had we played to our potential. So much talent, so much class, all gone to waste one way or another. What's worse that there are 39 points left to play for, and the coach comes out and says the race is over. Way to motivate the team, with a defeatist attitude, I say! Next year, will be the same, if things don't change. Probably. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) No CL was bad enough, but giving inter an 11 point lead even though we have a far better squad than them is even worse. And to think we completely built a squad for the Scudetto challenge this time. It was the same stagnant atmosphere in the late 90s and early 2000s that sent us into the wilderness. People who are pro-management, pro-Carlo, who think everything is alright, well they should know that it could all come crashing down, while they keep on defending this. If they still can't see, then be my guest! But frankly put, I can't put up with this shtick knowing full well that there are problems, leaks, lack of motivation, lack of the required talent (injuries are another matter, altogether) that could have been pegged with a little effort, and we could have been a contender. Of course we will beat them, of course we will win the league! But the same was said last year. And the year before. Like I said, it was not one match - it's a train wreck we're witnessing, which was coming. I just hope it doesn't come crashing too hard. One can fantasize all they want about Milan, Milan history, Milan philosophy, Milan legends - as a fan. It's easy. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Apparently it's all sunny. A day at the beach, if I may. As a club owner, as a club director, not quite. There is the dirty laundry that fans don't see. It's a cruel, cruel world after all. The world of reality (that almost kicked Kaka out). $$$ matters. One more CL miss, and then we'll talk (hopefully not, but very possible, and very probable).
