I wouldn't be the farm on it, if I were you. Carlo's been through more and stuck on. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I think if we somehow win the UEFA Cup, there is a chance we'll see him next season too. I don't mind him too much as a coach, but it's his stubbornness that does me in.

Nah... He is going to Man City... They're certainly paving the way for him!

This statement still gives me the creep. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Well, most coaches are stubborn. I'd pick Carlo's stubborness over Mancini's flexibility every day!

Winning uefa cup at this point in my opinion is not even a priority. We should be worried about getting 4th w/o kaka.

If we lose Kaka (which is looking very likely (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ) we need to bring back Yoann no matter what it takes. We need to start rebuilding now, we're losing our entire backbone in a matter of months. We either be pro-active and sign at least 5 top class players (not including Yoann) this summer, or we could fall apart faster then you can say the sentence.

That's the thing though... 100 million pounds is not THAT much money after all... Clubs will know we have 100 mill, they will shoot up their prices... We will be looking at a very tough market after this. ESPECIALLY for world class players. I have no doubt.

That's why we need to do whatever we can to convince Gourcuff to come back.

Even if that means getting a new coach next season? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

That's exactly what I'm worrying about, that and the names already being thrown around, Adebayour!!!

Not only that, but I know for a fact that they well still be hesitant about spending. Look what happened with the Sheva money. Nothin good came out of that 30m, and we struggled badly without our 20+ goal a season striker. This time it will be even worse because back then we still have Kaka, now we have no one. Pato is still too young to expect to carry the team like Kaka does.

It's good timing anyway... Carletto's time has been up for a while... All I know is that Gourcuff is worth WAY more than 15 mil at this stage.

@han:

Wasn't the Sheva money used to pay off the last of our debts? I think so. Because, besides Yoann, the Ronaldo purchase was made with Silvio's money ((IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) , yup he can bankroll that one!). In any case the CL earnings etc was what funded our current campaign.

You're right, massive re-building is in order, but I wouldn't worry about the names being bandied about. They're just the naive press hanging onto twigs.

I'd like <true blue target man who won't get injured>, Yoann (since Kaka's being sold,he'll get more space with the board no longer worried about accomodating R80), Diego, Chiellini/Criscito,Clichy.

But I guess we'd get Mexes most probably.

Suddenly Abbiati doesn't look so bad! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Funny how suddenly everyone's forgotten the goal keeping situation, I'll give it till the next Abbiati blunder (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

To tell you the truth I don't know where the Sheva money went? At that time no one was talking about financial difficuilties, the board didn't bat their eyes at the 20+ million spalshed out on Gila at the time. Then players like Oliveira were brought in and that's how the Sheva money went, it was practically thrown away.

As for the defence, Chiellini is a dream that cannot happen, no way Juve will sell. I think Roma would be the place to go shopping should the mangement be willing to spend some of the money from the Kaka transfer.

Mexes, De Rossi/Aquilani, those would be the players I would like to see us going after. The striker would probably have to wait if we get Yoann, we either play a 4-3-2-1 still with Yoann and Dinho behind Pato or we switch to 4-3-1-2 with Sheva and Pippo playing the box strikers that Pato floates around. The defence is a much more critical position that needs to be taken care of.

I just can't ****ing belive all this financial BS... How much did we spend on Oliveira? How about Boriello? A player we owned just a season ago. If they are in that much trouble, why all the stupid and careless decisions then?

Good point (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Do we have to have so many [washed-up] stars? get rid of them, build the team around Kaka by buying young & promising players.

---

And a big fat LOL at the thinking some people have that "Milan don't need a good Primavera system. Milan go buy the best out there".
