QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Dec 10 2008, 04:18 AM) Ohh, c'mmon, it's not the end of the world. Cheer up! Actually it is. As a protest, I'm gonna change my signature to a Manchester United one (a club I hate big time) till the end of the year. At least, there's a Ronaldo there. Nothing comes between me and the Fantastic 4s (Paolo, Ronaldo, Rui Costa, Dida). With Baggio rounding off the top five. All are going, going, gone. I'm not sure you can understand my feelings. The only real four, five players I ever felt something for are fading. Such is the way, I guess. The only silver lining I have is to live seeing R99 kick the ball once more. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif) It's been a long, long time.

QUOTE (MizNelson @ Dec 10 2008, 07:07 AM) If I were in your shoes, I'd be more disappointed if he announced he was retiring. Besides, he could've done a lot worse than Corinthians; just be thankful he didn't go to Anorthosis or the like. Yeah, I suppose. Round about 21. QUOTE Ronaldo Makes Lively Corinthians Debut
The Phenomenon looked very sharp and even came close to getting on the score-sheet in his first appearance for his new club...
After more than a one-year injury layoff, Ronaldo finally returned to action with his Corinthians, for whom he signed in December.
The 32-year-old may have only played 29 minutes, but he looked very lively and even came close to finding the net.
He replaced Jorge Henrique in the 21st minute of the second half, and moments later he had his first touch of the ball.
The excited crowd at the Juscelino Kubitschek stadium in Itumbiara roared each time Ronaldo came close to the ball, and the former FIFA World Player of the Year tried to impress them with some of his trademark trickery.
He showed no signs of an injury, although it was evident that he was lacking the necessary fitness to play a competitive football match.
But Ronaldo constantly asked for the ball, and instead of passing as soon as he got it, he preferred to take on his opponents - and with good results.
Towards the end of the match, Ronaldo looked to mark his debut with a goal.
He fired a long-range effort wide of the right post, and minutes later he forced his way into the area, but was penalised for pushing.
The former Barcelona, Real Madrid, Inter and AC Milan striker was without doubt the main focus of attention in a match that Corinthians won 2-0. The match corresponded to the first round of the Copa do Brasil.
At the final whistle several excited reporters mobbed Ronaldo, and he was hurt in the process. He quickly made his way into the tunnel while touching his sore head.
Ronaldo is likely to start for the first time in the top-of-the-table Paulista derby with Palmeiras on the weekend.

QUOTE (Zed.D @ Mar 12 2009, 03:13 PM) WOW Ronaldo amazes me to no end. after months of injury, he returns scores like it's the easiest thing for him to do in this world. IMO he's easily the most talented striker in history. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Pato? Aubameyang? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
