QUOTE (acid911 @ Nov 3 2008, 05:58 PM) Um, he was out of form. Horribly. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) He had competition before in Ambrosini, though not sustained, but it was competition nonetheless. It's another thing he may have gotten a bit lax because of Carlo's insistence on using half a dozen DMs. Sure he wasn't the same after Athens, but I'd expect a club like Milan to stay with it's player through both good and bad. He still can be very useful for us, at least for the next 2-3 seasons. When a player like him gets out of form and fitness, it's tough to recover, because frankly the only talent Gattuso has is his iron-man body and never-dying-spirit (though now he's letting some creative juices flow (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ). And the position he plays in sure doesn't help. It's a lethal combo that can instantly break a player. Take Sheva for instance, he wasn't as good in his final year or two, before he left for Chelsea. But very few people noticed because his talent and attacking position saved him. Same with Pirlo, sorry to say this but he was about as bad as Rino in these last year. In Gattuso's case things quickly took a turn for the worse. All said and done, I'm happy for him and his return. He's been consistently improving since our match against inter earlier this year (which we won). You took most of the words right out of my mouth! I agree with the most of it, but I do think people did however realise a dip in Pirlo's form as well. Hopefully after this unfortunate injury he would be back to his best. ( (IMG: style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Oh if that happens how I would like to see ANY team stop our attack (IMG: style_emoticons/default/droolsmiley.gif) ...[QUOTE ME ON THIS!!] (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) But yess, I am glad to see Gattuso back to the rough & tough, with a never say die attitude. I was never really one to question his place on the team either, I was really glad and relieved when he made his decision to see out his Milan Contract.

I think he's been working hard on it in training. Perhaps over the past couple of seasons. Maybe last season was growing pains. Like when Tiger Woods changed his swing.
Though personally, it's Carlo giving freedom to his 2 DMs to move forward to compensate the lack of Pirlo. But Rino has really evolved, so even with Pirlo he's been given the freedom.

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Nov 25 2008, 10:30 PM) What is up with Gattuso and his assist these days? I'm pretty sure it was him who assisted Pato's goal against Torino. Yess, You saw right And I was wondering the same thing! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) But lets just leave it as it is, and take it all in - never questioning a thing about it ever again. May this magic last forever! Forza Rino!

Dammit. Is Abbiati the only player from the starting XI that didn't suffer a injury so far?? This is out of line,..

Oh my this is grave. And he really has been our best player. Flamini and Ambrosini would be enough but two DMF's are too few for Ancelotti... more Emerson to come, we're doomed!
edit: Did he get injured when he made that silly tackle? That was a reckless move damn it!

I really hope he'll get healed quicker as it's common for him to disappoint early predictions. Get well, Rino. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

No, I don't think it was the tackle. Maybe it made the situation worse, but you could see he was hurt before he got carded.

QUOTE (KillerMax @ Dec 9 2008, 05:56 PM) parmafan.com is under construction... (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I will watch matches with extreme cynicism when Emerson plays. If it wa Ambro, Flamini and Pirlo, fair enough, but Emo is not even a quarter or Ambrosini, so i think a defeat against Juve is likely. Is it strange that we scored a goal after Emerson was substituted. Is it strange that our performances improved after this event? How many matches have we won with Emo (not including 10 minute cameo's) Hope Gattuso recovers quickly
