Alot of talk today at how stupid football is. John Terry gets a 3 game ban for having a little pull on someones shirt, Danny Guthrie gets the same ban for breaking someones leg.. I think the disciplinary system does need a little change, that just doesn't work out.

He apologised on the Newcastle site and wants to arrange so he can apologise to Fagan in person, Hull have said they don't want his apology as what he did can't even be described as a moment of madness or just a bad challenge, he basically attacked him, Fagan still managed to keep the ball, so he did it again. He should be done for assault in my opinion.

My two fav clubs in a mud slinging match. It's all Martin O Neill's fault. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Read something unusual this morning. Apparently the UAE do not recognise Israel as a country, so when City go and play a game over there, in front of their new owners, Ban Haim won't be able to go as he won't get through passport control. How very strange!

I'm surprised you're unaware of this. Much of the Middle East and Arab nations do no recognise Israel. With the few notable exceptions I think being Qatar (or is it Bahrain), Jordan and I think Egypt. R7 would know more.

Nope, I wasn't aware of it. Apparently it's also the reason Israel play in the European region of football and not the Asian region. Well, you learn something new every day.

That does not surprise me... Barton is not only out of jail, he is even playing football... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

As for leg-breakers, it does not matter if it was completely unintentional or if you're the nicest guy you should get a huge ban for being careless... and careless tackles that could threaten an opponent's health should also receive a big ban. For example, Bonera's tackle on Sissoko against Giuve last season.

I'll be honest with the Barton situation, I have sympathy for him. He did wrong, served his time, had a huge ban from football, he's been punished, let him move on. But it seems everybody is jumping on the bandwagon now and it's pointless.

Hmm. I think there's a grey area with this. Martin Taylor in the Eduardo injury last season did very little, it was unintentional and a fluke incident. It would be very unfair to ban him for a long period of time or anything else, even if he is a Blues player.

Miss timed tackles are a part of football, so are injuries.. but what Guthrie did is way beyond that. He had no intention of going for the ball and took a wild swipe at Fagan, then when Fagan stayed on his feet tried it again with both legs.. disgraceful act which should end with him going to prison in my opinion, but it won't. Worst act I've ever seen on a football field from what I can recall.

Eh? Peter Kenyon is Chelsea's Cheif Executive, he left United ages ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Typical United fan, doesn't even know who works for the club. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I have no sympathy for him. I hope someone breaks his legs!

Go for it...we can feed bits of him to the fish doll.

I want the nose and ears as souvenirs though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

In loving Memory of Kurt Walker:
He messed with the Greek
Went up the creek
Didn't have the time to find a paddle
Bluey and zd watched from the saddle
The Pirate king had him walk the plank
Kurt into the fish tank, sank!

The END....

It's kinda rough edged. I'll try writing a better epitaph tomorrow.

Very nice, Jack. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

It seems Mike Ashley wants £400m for buying Newcastle, which is around £250m more than he paid for them. Now I don't know about you, but a managerless team who did poorly last season and started this season badly doesn't really increase the teams value? He may find it difficult to get a buyer at this rate. Of the 11 or so bigger clubs in England, 3 or 4 still yet to have owners. Why not buy Everton? A team that will be much cheaper, and a team that actually has history. Ashley needs to lower his price, because the only way Newcastle are ever going to be more than a good bottom half/crap team half team is if they have a Chelsea/City type owner.
