Yes, Randy did the Holte Pub back up, great stuff. He's put this club back where it belongs, we're the 4th most succesful club in the countries history and we should be back up there in reality. Alot of people slag England off and say our football is crap.. yet Villa are a team full of English players, not just that but alot of them are very young. 6th last season and 4th after 4 games this season, hopefully our form can continue!

We aren't a bad little club for a city of just 25,000 people.

Yep, my bad.

*giancarlo mode on* i complete and utterlylylyly disagree with you, dumb @ss (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) who are what are aston villains? rubbish and overrated if you ask me. *giancarlo mode off*

We had 7 English starters today, with 3 English players used as subs, so I'd assume he'd be saying how terrible we were and how we relied massively on our foreign players to scrape the win against the almighty foreign legion that is Spurs.

Talking of Foreigners. Pavlyuchenko.. this guy scored 2 past England, were England really that bad in Russia? This guy is so slow and his shot selection is poor, and so unaccurate. He's got some improving to do before he replaces cry baby Berba.

Well in fairness to Pavlyuchenko, he's been in England all of what? A couple of weeks? It may take him a little time to adjust to the style of play.

I really do think it admirable that Villa field so many home-grown players (ie, players from the UK). Course, the odd Scandinavian is also cool on account of the Viking helmets. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Ban him, this is terrible

I've heard alot about it, but this is the first time I've seen it, albeit a poor video. I've seen bad challenges before and there's worse broken legs than this one.. but I don't think I've ever seen a player go in with the intent on trying to injure a player like he has. I hope he has a 6-10 game ban, or is at least banned for as long as Fagan is injured, this really is shocking.

Yes it is. Fagan isn't even in posession of the ball - or even within 5 yards of the ball - an Guthrie jumps on to the back of his leg with one boot and takes a wild swipe at his other leg with his other boot.. disgraceful. This makes Keane @ Haaland look nothing!

Saw that one as it happened. One can understand the Geordies being frustrated given everything that's been going on but there's no excuse at all for what Guthrie did. A good long suspension is most definitely warranted.

(People from Newcastle = Geordies - do I have that right?)

Yes, that's right.

In other news, I've just heard that Juande Ramos has no intention of learning English! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) I respect the guy for the great job he did at Sevilla, but that really isn't acceptable.

Thanks for the answers on my question.

-

Another thing: DIC (Dubai's) today denied being interested on buying Newcastle, Liverpool or any other English club.

That's surprising. I thought it was almost a certainty that they would be Liverpool owners within the nex 24 months to be honest.

Funny you say that.

Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Dubai club President announced his intentions to invite English Premier league champions Manchester United to visit Dubai and play a friendly match.

"Manchester United will visit Dubai soon, I have a very good relations with United boss Peter Kenyon and they know that I support them," he said.

Sheikh Rashid was speaking to the media during celebrations when his team clinched the Prime Cup in Al Ain recently. He added that Manchester United was the only club that he loved in the world.

"I have supported them since I was a child. They perform excellently and have very skillful players." Sheikh Rashid also hoped that star midfielder David Beckham would not be transferred to any other club in Europe.

This is the Sheik behind DIC. So much love for Libpuel ain't he?

Anyway, he doesn't need DIC to bid for the club. He can bid himself.

Eh? Peter Kenyon is Chelsea's Cheif Executive, he left United ages ago. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

Typical United fan, doesn't even know who works for the club. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Heh...Newcastle with Indian owners (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) That would be the day. We'd be worse than Ashley at spending, but be Moggi like in the transfers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

But they are the Ambanis, one of India's foremost business families. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

(IMG:http://images.forbes.com/media/lists/10/2008/VX6G.jpg)

Today I've heard, not about New-hastle but about a possible Ambani-Everton link.
This guy seems to have "some" money... meaning just the double of what Abramovich has.

That's Anil Ambani. Elder brother Mukesh is even richer. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I don't know, if they'll splash out the cash like Abu Dhabi Inc, but we'll see.

I'm still doubtful though. I think they're just looking at the top 10 list of billionaires, and associating them with any good club that needs money.
