QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Sep 14 2008, 05:26 PM) Your just blowing it up han ... I meant it, like thinking out loud. I still have hope in that Milan could challenge for the league, it's just that I have yet to see the players click on the pitch .. And that is what I meant by Serie A being our target. Galliani has nothing to do with my opinion, that is for sure (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Imo, that's just trying to make up excuses for the team. There's no possible other target to have. And these are professionals getting paid one of the biggest payrolls in Europe to play for this team, so now they just decide they don't want Serie A? That's not how it works. Serie A is infact our target, if not then the players should just stay at home this season if they don't intend to fight for it.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Sep 14 2008, 05:43 PM) And again I am not making excuses (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I was just questioning the way Milan played today ... But remain confident in that this team hasn't been training a lot together, maybe now that they are all available to the coach in training, we might see more understanding on the pitch (which in my opinion is the only thing lacking) There were many things lacking besides understanding, like form, fitness, motivation. And on top off that there was Carlo's tactical decisions. How could we possibly win this game with all those things involved?

How could we possibly win this game with all those things involved? Step by step han (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) fitness & form is definitely an issue, because it is the start of the season. Motivation and, if I might add, humility were also lacking today. And on Carlo's decisions, on hindsight it seems rather easy ... Kurt could coach this team and win the CL if it was down to him, or hell give the team to Porty and watch how he will massacre Mourinho on week 5 of the league ... And it wont stop there, would it (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I remain confident han ... let's see how the team fairs out against Lazio next week (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) QUOTE Cesare Maldini live on Jazeera:
- Milan has fitness problems. - Team didn't get a chance to integrate well. - When a team is late at closing down the opponent, it means fitness is low. - Milan's players were all over the world on international duty, that is a cause for fatigue. - Ancelotti was calm and confident at the press conference and I don't see him being taken out.

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Sep 14 2008, 06:06 PM) And on Carlo's decisions, on hindsight it seems rather easy ... Problem is, you can't really blame it on hindsight since Carlo has been making the same tactical errors in the league for 2 years now. When will he learn that the xmas tree with 2 defensive mids just won't work in the league against these kinds of teams? When did we start making decent chances in this match? When one of the defensive midfielders was finally taken off, that's when. Problem is Carlo is to stubborn to change his system. And he'll probably be out the door before he finally gets it into his thick skull. We need fresh ideas and a coach that demands respect and 100% commitment to the cause from his players, and I don't see that happening with Carlo on the bench

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Sep 14 2008, 06:26 PM) That's your opinion, and I respect it. But don't necessarily agree with it han Personally I don't think there is any other way to look at it. It's not like this is the first time this happened, because of Carlo's pig headed ways, we've been going through the same crap draws and losses because of Carlo's tactics for 2 years now. And if you can't see that our main problem is Carlo then what is the problem? All those things Cesare said do have some effect but imo all are excuses, same goes for your 'maybe the league is not our target' statment. We had a team out there full off international players and we were playing Genoa, not Inter or any of the other top teams, there is no excuse for losing the way we did
