QUOTE (acid911 @ Sep 13 2008, 04:50 PM) You didn't quote my full post, particularly the arrogant prink part. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Anyhoo I guess it boils down to what one's definition of the best is. For some it's one good/great season at the top, while for someone like me it's on a continued period. The overrated part comes into play in between this. For some Pele is overrated, for all he's done, so it won't stop the world from spinning, I guess. I'm done. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) true

Kurt, I think it's largely a matter of personal preference when it comes down to which league one thinks is the 'best'. It's a subjective thing.

Which is why it's very annoying when somebody has an opinion that the EPL is the best in the World and it's just labelled as hype or whatever. Annoyingness. Full time results: Blackburn 0 - 4 Arsenal Fulham 2 - 1 Bolton Newcastle 1 - 2 Hull Portsmouth 2 - 1 Middlesbrough West Bromwich 3 - 2 West Ham Wigan Athletic 1 - 1 Sunderland

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Sep 13 2008, 04:55 PM) Oh dear, Adebayor scored a hat-trick. The World must surely be ending soon. For a moment there I thought you said Agbonlahor (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Sep 13 2008, 04:40 PM) I dunno, you look at the Italian champions and they have very few Italians. United and Chelsea have a very English spine to their team, and they're arguably the best two teams in Europe right now. Even our 2nd tier teams like Villa, Everton and West ham are very English. prem - 63% foreign players Bundesliga 51% foreign players La Liga 41% foreign players Serie A 36% foreign players So it seems the prem has got the highest amount of foreigners while the Serie A has the least (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Sep 13 2008, 05:01 PM) @ Kaka Is Brilliant
What does your signature mean?? I'm curious... Comparing Messi V Ronaldo (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) The discussions over now anyway, I think I should make you all curious and stick a Torquay United player in there (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Sep 13 2008, 05:02 PM) Ha, that's what I meant another one for this season?! Maybe on Monday! Get Young on the score-sheet work wonders for the Fantasy Football!

QUOTE (Kaka Is Brilliant @ Sep 13 2008, 08:52 PM) Come on, I'm English I twist words (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Of course. English language itself is your housemaid. QUOTE (Kaka Is Brilliant @ Sep 13 2008, 08:52 PM) Agreed, if he does this over an extended period then he is one of the greats. He's not yet but he is on the right path let's just hope he doesn't go off the rails and start drinking or something so we lose another footballing talent. Truth. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/king.gif) QUOTE (Habitant @ Sep 13 2008, 08:52 PM) true Very. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Sep 13 2008, 08:58 PM) Exactly. Which is why it's very annoying when somebody has an opinion that the EPL is the best in the World and it's just labelled as hype or whatever. Annoyingness. The problem doesn't start there. Every media likes to (over) hype, it's their way of advertisement. Even the Spanish and Italian ones do this. It's not even called hyping up, it's called selling, pitching a product. The problem starts when people believe the hype. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Only Italian fans come out and think of Serie A as a tactical league. While ever ****, Joe and Harry who may know or not know about football seems to think of EPL as the be all and end all. Okay, I'm really done this time.
