I do tend to find it's the usual excuses when it comes to somebody doing well in the EPL, it's often to do with our defenders. It doesn't really matter what league he plays in, in my opinion. Okay, he probably wouldn't score 42 goals again, he won't in any league again, but the guy has everything. Is he quick? Very. Can he pass? Very good range and accuracy. Can he cross? Definitly. Can he head a ball? Very well. He can take corners, superb with free kicks and penalties.. He is the best around at the moment for me.

I just find it a little annoying sometimes how when a very unlikeable player is the best around, people start saying you can't really compare him to others as they play in a different league, etc. But if it was a Milan player, well, when it was Kaka', he was getting all the plaudits.

I dislike Ronaldo for Man U, I dislike Ronaldo for Portugal. I dislike United and dislike the Portugese NT. So there is very little I like about this guy, but I'm still fine with saying he's the best.

You have some serious issues with respect, and that post was no different.

Personally I'm sick and tired of your snappy responses. It seems to me you cheer on Man City more than you do Milan.

So now you edit the posts à la "cnut way". Not surprised.

You didn't know I am a City fan? kurt and Brill know it. I'm a die-hard citizen. In fact I told that to Brill back in 2005.

I edited that post just after I made it. You had more than enough time to see it.

If you want go to a Man City forum.

Of course it's called a biased opinion.

I'm trying not to be biased I don't support United, I'm not Portuguese, I'm from England and see him play a lot and think damn this lads special but why shouldn't I?! I suppose because I'm English I'm blinded from the media, yeah that's right the media that anyone not from England on this board doesn't actually read (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

However, when there were the likes of Zidane, Figo I thought the same, quality quality players. Especially Zidane I thought he was sensational and easily better than anyone in the EPL. If CR was doing this in some other league like the Spanish or Italian I'd join the 90% of Milanfan that think he's 'rubbish' 'overrated' 'mediocre' 'but Messi's better' because he's in England, and agree with them that he is quality and currently the #1 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

This does relate to the EPL.

I was just looking over the headlines on SkySports.com in their archives.. I'm not really sure what this idea of "English players gets hype" actually comes from. None of their headlines or articles ever suggest some average player is great or anything, a very odd myth that one.

Anyways, half time scores from this afternoons games:
Blackburn R. 0 - 2 Arsenal
Fulham 2 - 0 Bolton
Newcastle 0 - 1 Hull (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
Portsmouth 0 - 1 Middlesbrough
West Brom 2 - 2 West Ham
Wigan Athletic 0 - 1 Sunderland

Kurt, it's a thing that's there to play our league down I'm sure of it. I suppose no one cared about us a decade ago, now that our teams are starting to dominate Europe again we are hated. A bit like the whole thing with Ronaldo, anyway where's Ricky (Warchant) he should be supporting me on this...

Not your best effort, Ash. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I can say not anyone actually reads Pakistani media, and that might be a bit of a valid statement. But I'm sure you'll find that there are many people who read British sites, magazines and even papers every once in a while.

That's what creates the difference. How can you, Kurt and other English members of this place decide on what's biased when you're living in UK yourself? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I was watching a Top Gear episode in which they said the best three cars in the world were all British. And everyone agreed. That was just about the funnies thing I heard in my 23 years on this planet. One good season makes CR the best ever. We'll continue this discussion when he goes to Madrid next season. Then he'll be just another diving Portuguese cnut, and depending on how he fares, overrated or not. We'll see then.

You, like everyone have your opinion and I respect that. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) While not necessarily agreeing with it.
