QUOTE (drucurl @ Sep 6 2008, 01:18 AM) Quaresma compared to Tiago (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Shows how much you know about the guy (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Quaresma was taken to Barca and made the 1st Team at the same age that Ronaldo did (i.e. muuuch younger than Ronaldinho) He played well there but out of position and Rijkaard didn't have the patience with him that he ha with Ronaldinho.....Quaresma was far too arrogant himsellf anyway....but it was clear that he has World Class talent.......He was only a couple of months older than CR7 and CR7 said that Quaresma is his hero . Tiago has NEVERbeen in these circles......Quaresma's problem isn't talent or being able to break defenses wiiiide open...he just thinks that he's god and can do whatever he feels like....it's also hard to motivate him for the lesser matches....If Mourinho manages to tame the beast mark my words he'll be a monster...His free-kick technique and dribbling moves are also fantastic...but a bit overdone if he wants to keep his legs on his body in italy I'm not going to even respond to this the way I want because I know what will happen. You attacked Antonini calling him rubbish, so I did it to your favorite players. Honestly, Antonini isn't even my favorite player. I'm not going to get into a fight with you anymore. This thread is about Milan's worst transfer (which I honestly can't say any them), not Merda. Quaresma is overrated "talent" if anything. If anything he will average at best in my eyes. A monster? LOL. No. The kid is gonna get beaten up in this league. He knows that very well. If he wanted to be fully effective and allowed tons of space, he should have moved to the La Liga (again) or Premier League. Heck, I'm more scared of Julio Baptista, than I am of this guy.

We don't have to fight just take it easy (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Don't forget a winger of his exact prototype CR7 rapred Roma on numerous occasions (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Sep 5 2008, 08:11 PM) Okay, go ahead and just say I'm wrong.
I think people are putting so much hype on this overrated player it's almost becoming obnoxious.
Yes it is goal.com (but it cites Gazzetta)... nobody is overrating him...you just can't stand an opinion other than your own (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) exactly who rates him other than me?? Nobody much so pipe down (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I wish for a full recovery to great form for Gattuso (and maybe Flamini can do the same), so he can slap the guy on the back of his head. We should play Gattuso for the big matches, and I hope he can be played for the derby. So he can deliver the same punishment he gave to Cristiano Ronaldo. My point has been made. By the way, I can more than stand other opinions. Stop being fallacious.

Actually, it was the departed Massimo Oddo who marked Cristiano Ronaldo out of not one but two games (second leg CL semi and then an Italy-Portugal friendly).
And a willingness to accept that one is not always right and that opinions differing from our own have vailidity is a very good thing indeed.

Yeah Gattuso AND Oddo did stop him in 2007 but guess what?? Both are no longer going to start for us....(especially Oddo (IMG: style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) ).... how about we put Gattuso to break that fruity little winger's legs come derby day ?? Sorry, my memories of the games are different.
'I'm not wrong' isn't the very best way of accepting that others have different opinions. You may be right or I may be right. Time will tell. I believe, however, that having seen more of Quaresma than just the recent Euros, I may be in a slightly better position to judge how well he's likely to do.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Flamini has been very solid in the Premier League. Come on, admit you're wrong. Gattuso I assure you will probably start in major games. Okay maybe he won't flop, but he'll be average. And not only that Inter was ripped off... big time.

Quaresma has the potential to be a pretty decent player but he is not going to be the next Ronaldo, he should have moved on from Porto a while ago.
Can see him being more like a Nani well a bit better because he's pretty shambolic!
