Oh they're for when we sell Kaka and Pirlo next season. 110MM for Kaka (Man City/Chelsea) and 45MM for Pirlo (Barca). Smart market move. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

I don't think we're selling either. I don't neither of them want to leave either.

I think the two Uruguayos are there for depth and I don't think they are bad transfer signings at all. I think they are highly appropriate ones. I think Viudez will play some with the primavera team though.

i think people are underestimating Senderos. He can be effective because the pace of the Serie A is slower.

Right now I have to say Shevchenko... with Senderos a close 2nd. Hope they prove me wrong though. Now if Borriello returns to the form he had for Milan.. well then he'll win.

Pace has no bearing on this. He is error prone full stop

I think it has plenty to do with this. He'll fit better in Milan I think. "He is error prone full stop" sounds pretty declarative to me. I don't agree with it.

I still don't see what Milan see in Senderos - there was a gushy article in Gazzetta (print edition) a couple of days ago about him that left me scratching my head in disbelief. Having seen him play both for Arsenal and for the Swiss NT, I'm just not that impressed. I don't think his positioning is very good and as whoarethepatriots points out, he's error prone. Pace isn't an issue with me.

At this point, I'd prefer to see them playing Darmian.

You know, we shall see on Senderos. If it doesn't work, he'll go back. If it does, we will sign him permanently. I would have preferred Radoslav Kovac for 5 mil... but you can't always get what you want. I personally have confidence that Senderos simply need a change of atmosphere. And there is more experience in our backline...

Senderos.

Wenger usually likes the youngsters in his team. The fact that he's got rid of Senderos and bought in Silvestre speaks volumes.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Tell me about it. It also makes me laugh that some of the people righting off Shevchenko already are saying give Senderos a chance.

This guy is so error prone. I thought the Serie A had the best defenders in the world and some are saying a failed EPL one might do well in this, come on guys.

I'm tempted to say that it's perhaps a little early to determine who the worst transfer will be. Don't feel as if I have enough information at my disposal to make a fair judgment.

I honestly believe if Senderos has a change of atmosphere he will do better. He is not very error prone as much as you want to think. And I think he's a step up from Kaladze.

It's not as much as I want to think, I do catch Arsenal games quite a bit living in England!

I've seen evidence of Senderos's unreliability. I mean he was useless against Liverpool in the Champions League last season how many times did he let the player go and bang a goal. Pretty much cost them a place with his defending that night.

I mean he's an average player, if that's what we want at Milan then it's a great piece of business but I feel there should be a bit more aspiration than Senderos. At least he's on a loan anyway.

If this current $heva was a defender he would have been Senderos (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Worst signings in order of suckiness

1) Antonini ( not a bad player by any means but lolzzz this is the much-hoped for Serginho replacement?? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) )
2) $heva (traitor, no pace, lost shot selection, questionable aim, old, threat to Pato's gorwth)

The rest are GREAT (Flamini, R80) & GOOD (Zambrotta, Borriello) and we have two wild cards (Viudez and Cardaccio)

As Altafini said some presidents try to fool the fans and I firmly agree with him here

Antonini? Antonini is a good squad player. He does not suck by any means. Why do you criticize the guy? He's performed well when called on.

I've defended Antonini many times and I will do it again here.

Sheva will certainly gain back some shot selection and his aim. He's no threat to Pato.

Antonini is indeed a decent enough squad player - on a Brocchi level. I doubt he'll ever start but he's not likely to do anything particularly stupid when he IS fielded.

I'm uncertain as to how much playing time Shevchenko will actually get. I would imagine that a fair bit of it will depend on who actually picks the starting lineups (the inference being that I think Silvio might pressure Ancelotti to start Sheva).
