It was more rhetorical and wasn't meant to sound so aggressive, my bad!

I just seriously don't think United do pick up many fans because of how much they won in the 90's...

Well, City fans can be excited, of course. But Man City team yesterday > Man City team today . They got Robinho, but their attack was fine as it was and he'll take time to adjust. But they lost Corluka, so now they're stuck with a very average defense.

City fans must be creaming themselves at the moment.

I'm sure they are. They are hoping to see the Chelsea scenario implemented on them, which is a quick way to the top.

BTW Most of the Chelsea fans, from my impression, acting like they have been a top club forever.

Indeed.

I wonder what Liverpool fans are making of this? They're clearly the 5th best team in the country now. They simply can't compete with Chelsea and Man City for money, United and Arsenal are far superior in terms of the players they have. But with all this debt Liverpool have at the moment, one has to wonder how they'll cope when they finish 5th next season. We may very well be seeing another Leeds in the making.

Or do you think UEFA will give England an extra space in the Champions League to save their beloved Liverpool? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

The difference between Chelsea and City is that Chelsea had Champione League football well Roman took over, City don't. So some players, like Berbatov, will pick Champions League football over the money. So I don't think we'll really see them become a top, top team for a season or two.

Liverpool will be DICed, that's the only thing that can save them and I believe it will happen soon.

This Abu Dhabi thing may speed up the things.

They heart his pride with the wholl Ronaldo saga and how Madrid didn't want to renew with him when they though Ronaldo would join. After yesterday press conference there wasn't a way to comeback for both Madrid and Robinho, and since Madrid refused to deal with Chelsea it was either City, or not playing at all till winter's transfer break.

I don't think Robinho can make it there. He's just too fragile... Another lost great potential. Sad..

Other then Robinho, City don't have a decent team at all. Even Čorluka moved to Tottenham and he was probably one of their best players..

Hmm...If I were the Man City boss, I'd be looking to pick up Diego too. Get the Diego, Robinho, Jo, Brazillian trident going.

Probably get Miguel from Valencia for fullback. And try picking up either Alonso or some other defensive mid in January. No wonder Hughes seemed least bothered. Thaksin really played his hand well, made sure the club didn't go down with him.

He's gonna be honorary president. And I hear, that the Abu Dhabi consortium, want Man City in the CL within 2 seasons. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Just got off the phone with R7. Kuwait International Consortium are gonna launch a bid for Newcastle/Arsenal/Hull City. R7's gonna be the new Rick Parry. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

Hart, Dunne, Ireland, Johnson, Petrov, Robinho, Elano, Wright-Phillips are all good players. Sturridge is probably the best young player in the Premier League right now.

Top 4 this season? Very possible. All they have to do is keep in touch with 4th place by January first, and when that transfer window opens they'll go mad with spending. Look at it this way, their new owners were in charge for one day.. and they managed to get Robinho.

Their representative was interviewed live on SSN and said: "We're not here just to make Man City a good team, we want Champions League football, we want the Premier League title, we want to be Champions of Europe. To do this we will spend any money to buy any player that we think will help us acheive that.

It seems Chelsea have a rival. They do have more money than Chelsea, but I don't think they can become bigger than United/Chelsea, the same level, yes. But not bigger.

In other news: Keegan has left Newcastle. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

EDIT: On TalkSport this morning: One of the guys that tookover has been quoted in saying they've identified 10 players they wan in Januar. Two names that were mentioned were Liverpools Fernando Torres and Arsenals Cesc Fabregas. Maybe this could be a kick up the *** for Wenger, if he doesn't start spending money, players will want to leave, Cesc will be the first.

That was my point exactly. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Unless they funnel in a lot of $$$ they can only dream of such things. Sort of like Queens Park Rangers. Their owners are so messed up that they didn't even bother to pay off a 10m debt, which translated into an extra 1m of interest.

What kind of billions in dollars have they got lying. Plus, we all know where QPR is. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Man City can be different, but money is of essence here. Lots of it.
