It might not taste as good, but sometimes it's more important to not go hungry...if you know what I mean. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

easy guys i'm just pointing out the amount of hype he had going into this game did not even come close to the level of his actual play. But as usual patience will always be the end factor to all judgements so lets wait, i will personally give him till january before i reach a verdict like i did to galliani during the mercato.

There wasn't really any hype going into the game, no one really expected him to come on and be the Sheva of old, he needs to get back into shape, so a performance like yesterday's was good in terms of him re-finding his feet.

Till January he might just be finally getting some semblance of form, so I'm choosing to give him until may. It's the performance over the entire season that counts not half of it.

Just for the record, I think Sheva is not finished at all. I don't think it takes an Einstein to understand that either. but how soon he will be back to old days it depends... if he's going to be played like yesterday - to come off the bench and 'save' us - it'll take a long time IMO... because every missed chance (like the one he missed yesterday) will be a big blow for him and it'll be harder for him to convert the next one. so it does depend and I think more than anyone it depends on the coach, actually, to use him in the right place and at the right time.

yeah good post aswell. Carlo can lose faith very quickly because he actually has options now. If sheva keeps missing once boriello is back he'll be a reserve. dozer (IMG:style_emoticons/default/droolsmiley.gif)

Carlo loses faith fast only on selected players because once you enter the favourites category you will never lose Carlo's faith. That's why we still have a dumb @ss like Kaladze starting, Seedorf jogging around in every match and still starting and Pippo getting the start ahead of Pato

Some very harsh criticism on a guy who only played 45 minutes after a long lay off. The obvious talking point is the one very good chance he had in which the keeper IMO made an excellent save.

Agreed. I can guarantee you if that happened up the other end, and it was Abbiati that made that save off a Bologna player, we wouldn't be hearing about a bad miss, but an amazing save. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

That's life, Kurt. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) If it were Dida playing between the goalposts, we wouldn't be hearing that he could do nothing about those two goals. In fact, we'd be hearing about how crap the guy was and couldn't save a goal for his life.

Gotta live with it. You lived through it with Gila. Now get ready to live through it with Sheva. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Just like me, with Paolo, Ronaldo, and Dida.

Sheva has definitely lost a step, but saying that he is "finished" is exaggerating a tad.

Heh. Sad but true.

I'd call it universal truth. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) I'll be the first to admit Dida's got problem and he's far from getting them solved. But Abbiati has been letting in these stupid goals, and so far doesn't quite look the goalkeeper who'd save us 10-12 plus points a season individually.

He gets the job done. But getting the job done won't get you anywhere in Serie A. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Maybe he'll improve. Maybe he won't. Let's find out.
