QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Aug 31 2008, 11:30 PM) Of course we will (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) First game of the season, doesn't say much about the title race ... You will only know who the top dogs are during December .. Right now, its important that the team is not rotated a lot and that the team build up some chemistry. Anybody know when Nesta will be back ? Nope. We still miss Tennie you know, she's the one with the inside job informations. Anyway, can someone tell me which was the last team to win the scudetto after loosing the first match? (I think in some point, I've asked this question today, but it still is bugging me)

I found it! Goodness gracious me! It was Torino way back in season 1975/76.. Torino lost their opener match 1-0 against...Bologna! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) And while I was checking it out...we blew today our Nr.16 scudetto 10-anniversary. In 98/99 we opened our campaign winning against Bologna at home 3-0. That was the beginning of a wonderfull season,.. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

That was the beginning of a wonderfull season,.. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) That Scudetto was great particularly because we didn't have the best team in the world, especially defence (aside from Paolo) and midfield (aside from Boban and Albertini) Btw, we lost to Bologna in the 04/05 season also. Personally I don't think it's a will effect our title hopes, like R7 said, the team still need to establish some form of chemistry, this goes down to the fact that only 2 of our new players really played in pre-season. So it will take some time. I'm hoping we get Nesta back for Genoa, so that even if we miss a couple we could grind out a result. But we really need to get into working order fast, before the derby. We're luck that none of the other Scudetto contenders have taken off yet so we're not already trailing by 3 points

QUOTE (TriniKing_CE @ Sep 1 2008, 03:50 AM) Rijkard wasn't a role model player either, he also had his fair share of misbehaviour. But I guess he has calmed down now somewhat. Ditto. More so than Gullit, at least. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Maybe it was just their personality, or they got a tad jealous of all the heaps of media/fan attention on MvB. Either way, Rijkard is number two on my list of the Dutch trio of that time. Gullit had his moments and lots of them. Very good players, still, but I'd rather not have them as coach. Thank you. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Even MvB, he needs to learn a thing or two about player management. Which in a club like Milan means much.
