It's the defence that's worrying, if it had been a 0-0 I wouldn't be worried as much but the fact that we can't manage to keep a clean sheet against Gijon is what worries me. Zambrotta, took his time to get back into the rythem of the Italian game and to adjust to Milan's game but he cruised this game. Looked really sharp both in attack and defence and was linking up really well with the midfield |

Yeah Paloschi is probably tired after this busy summer season for him... I think we should get one more defender and we will be fine. This transfer season has been full of great surprises, and I think that will be the final act to a solid transfer season.
I'm very happy about Zambrotta though... he's always been one of my favorite players... and Flamini will be up there as one of the best transfers for Milan this season. This post has been edited by Giancarlo: Aug 24 2008, 10:19 PM |

Carlo Ancelotti after Sporting Gijon-Milan 2-0: "For an hour the match went well, but then the team decreased and Sporting did more. Certainly the result is not good, but it was an intense 90 minutes and playing a match like this is always useful. It was a real match and it helps us to get in the mood of real matches. The return of Kaladze and Maldini went well, while Emerson is still perhaps a bit behind. I am happy to welcome back Andriy, who strongly wanted Milan. I think he will be useful to us like he was in years past. From Tuesday also Dinho and Pato will be back, so we will have the chance to work well throughout the week."
