QUOTE (Portikins @ Aug 24 2008, 09:42 PM) Finally, the Italian Football is back. Oh, the smiles returning to the faces! (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Beetles, uhm. Anyway, I'm glad it's back too, Port. This season should be more interesting with new players in the game: Mourinho, Ronaldinho, Shevainio, Patoniho, Zamborghinio, Mellberginho, Baptistahino, and all. QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 24 2008, 11:22 PM) I was referring to the Moratti thing, I forgot to quote though, so it just looked like me randomly saying something. My bad. Oh, Good. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) All is well, then.

This will be the best Serie A for a long time. Some top players have come into the league, or re-joined it, and I'm sure the gap at the top will be much closer. There are about 5 teams with real quality, so it should be interesting to see who will finish in the top 4. My prediction.. (Which may change dependant on other transfers). 1: Inter 2: Juve 3: Milan 4: Fiorentina 5: Roma 6: Napoli

QUOTE (Portikins @ Aug 24 2008, 09:12 PM) Italian SuperCup 20' Inter 1-0 Roma, Muntari scored
But this is a totally different Inter from the last 3 seasons. Really different. Different in a better sense or? Muntari? From Udinese/Ghana? Gee, I missed that transfer out,.. It's a nice buy..

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Aug 24 2008, 08:27 PM) Different in a better sense or? Still to earlier to say. But playing in a 4-3-1-2 for 3 seasons under Mancio and now in a 4-3-3, make it completely different. Mourinho's first XI: ---------------Ibrahimovic------------- Mancini---------------------------Figo-- ----------Muntari--------Zanetti-------- -----------------Stankovic-------------- Maxwell-Cambiasso-Burdisso-Maicon ------------------J.Cesar----------------

Interesting lineup, that. Presumably should Quaresma arrive (rumors are still bubbling about that given his lack of appearance for Porto in the liga game), he'd slot into the 'Figo' spot in that formation?

Mourinho's first XI:
---------------Ibrahimovic------------- Mancini---------------------------Figo-- ----------Muntari--------Zanetti-------- -----------------Stankovic-------------- Maxwell-Cambiasso-Burdisso-Maicon ------------------J.Cesar---------------- Cambiasso at CB? I was trying to work out who was next to Burdisso on my rather poor stream of the game, surprised it was him! When we come up against them, it's going to be a real battle in the middle of the park. The likes of Ambro, Flamini, Rino and Pirlo against Muntari, Cambiasso, Zanetti and Stankovic.. can't wait!
