QUOTE (CrazyMilanFan @ Aug 20 2008, 09:39 PM) 76 it will be 76 according to gazzeta article (IMG: style_emoticons/default/puke.gif) I hate the large numbers. First Dinho got the #80 then Flamini went for the #84 and now IF Sheva comes he'll het another large number?? He should get #11, Ronaldinho should have gotten the #20 and Flamini also should have gone for a lower number

I'm sure he will be good he can't be any worse than the flop (surprise, surprise) Ronaldo who came here, he's a utter legend.
To the people who think he screwed us over he left for £30 mil at 30 that's not screwing a club over in my mind.
We need him, I can't see Pato scoring that much this year at all.

I have no great wish to continue the Shevchenko debate much but I would like to stress that my problem isn't so much that he left (and I think it was for family reasons and not money), but the way he did it.
If he comes back, he does. I don't think he's what the team needs, personally, but I'm not going to burn him in effigy or anything like that.

May have missed something that the papers fabricated but I'm pretty sure Chelsea offered, Milan accepted, Sheva signed the contract... Kissed the Chelsea badge yes but came out and immediately apologised to the Milan fans how many players do that nowadays?

Nah, i'm talking about his declarations to the press that he was happy at Milan, had no intention of leaving, wanted to be captain one day....and signing for Chelsea the next week.

Yeah I'll give you that. I don't know how many of these supposed quotes come from the players though. Bar the supposed 'I have no intention of leaving' I'm still not unhappy though. I mean look at Ronaldo supposedly saying how he wants to go to Madrid and leave United, same with Berbatov but to United. Had Sheva said I really want to go to Chelsea, have no desire to stay here that would have offended people much more I'm sure.

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Paolo seems to disagree. There are a lot of things that go between players that we fans don't know. Ronaldo brought us security last season in the league, which eased our progress in the CL. Not my words, our captain's. I'm sure if he was allowed to play in Europe, he's have made our journey to Athens much easier. He was (is) that damn good. Oh, if it were not for his constant injuries! I'm sure you understand guys like Seedorf, Nesta, Kaka, Pirlo would have the same impact as R99 if they got injured like him all the time. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Flop, then? Because he has more potential than all of them. Everyone knows that. Maybe you are right, he was a flop - but he never chose this path. Not intentially. Not from the interviews I read from him while he wore the red and black. Technically, even a guy like Gila isn't a flop. Oliveria bordered flopdom in his time here. Or Dhorasoo. Just my humble and honest $0.02. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Good post! Agree with quite a bit apart from... Maybe everyone thinks that bar me I don't know but Kaka or Ronaldo in there peak I know exactly who I'd pick.
