QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Aug 19 2008, 08:58 PM) It will cause the San Siro crowd to erupt ! When he left, I didn't believe he would do it, then that kiss on the badge was the perfect medicine for me to lift my finger at him ... But It has been a while since Milan had been playing with a striker of his qualities. He has scored the most amazing of goals and was always on target in the hardest of moments .. He probably wont be as good as he was, but you can't deny how much the club and fans will embrace him. The second highest scorer of all time (IMG: style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) If this is true and the whispers from gazzetta are to be trusted, then I think you guys are gonna see a whole lot of misha (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) As much as I have memories of Sheva scoring all those wonderful goals, he left for money. He's also past his best I think. 32 years old and suffering badly. I don't want to pick up a striker that we have to fix (Ronaldo). I'm suspicious of any attempt to bring back Shevchenko. Do I forgive him? No. I can't say that I do. Shevchenko and Ronaldo are past it. We need to focus on some youthful strikers (Pato was the first of this)... maybe not someone totally young and inexperienced... but someone that is like 24 or 25... I understand the sentimentalism about Shevchenko and Ronaldo... I totally do... Right now I want just a defender.

For once, I agree with Giancarlo on all counts.
I'll also point out one thing: Shevchenko doesn't have an EU passport. Neither does Ivanovic (and I'm not sure about the various Brazilian defenders Milan is linked with). IF Shevchenko comes, then Milan can't get any more non-EU players. Frankly, I'd rather use the non-EU spot on a defender.

Only one of Cardacio/Viudez has an EU passport. I don't recall offhand which one.
