QUOTE (zdrossoneri @ Aug 19 2008, 08:05 AM) Are you comparing 19yo Pato with 23yo Sobis? (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) are you comparing someone who's played 4 professional seasons with one who's played 1 and half? You're not making any sense my friend, besides last time I checked Pato scored 9 goals in 18 games in highest level (Milan - Serie A), and Sobis has scored 8 goals in 57 games in a way lower level (Betis - La Liga). just because he hasn't found his form with the Selecao yet doesn't mean anything. No I'm not saying that Sobis> Pato (I think I've said a million times that Pato has far more potential but I guess 'reading' isn't a strong point of many (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ) ALL that I'm saying is that sobis played less and scored more than Pato.....so atm to say that Sobis is crap seems a tad harsh/unfair don't you say? Another thing is the 8 goals in 57....I'm sure someone as knowledgeable as yourself knows that Sobis can't be a pure striker for Betis the way Pato is for Milan....Pato was played up front ....often alone and sometimes with Gila (again 'alone' (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) ) so was able to get on the end of far more scoring opportunities. Sobis played as a wing-forward and would naturally have had less opportunities...a phenomonon exacerbated by the fact that Betis is a crap team. Something similar has happened to Rooney this season in the EPL where in reality He was the winger and CR7 was the CF (shhh don't tell SAF I told you)....the end result.....few goals for Rooney

QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Aug 19 2008, 10:44 AM) Because Sobis plays for a second rate side, and plays in a league where its easier to score goals. You aren't taking the bigger picture (and you usually don't) lol so playing for second rate sides is now the criterion for judging players (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Aug 19 2008, 10:44 AM) And how did Sobis do against Argentina? Not that well at all. He's rubbish. Your special Sobis did nothing out there special. I don't even see how you have the audacity to put on him on the level of Pato. I NEVER put him level with Pato...but then again you haven't completely mastered your command of the obvious. QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Aug 19 2008, 10:44 AM) If you think he gets more scoring opportunities than Sobis, you clearly don't know how defensive the Serie A is. No he doesn't. Often in the La Liga, games turn into goal scoring fests... I've seen more 4-3 games and such... That's right I don't know how defensive SerieA is.....I've never watched SerieA/Milan in all my pathetic life....please enlighten me oh great one (IMG: style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Pato plays in front of Seedorf Kaka Pirlo and the rest of Milan's midfield who aren't nearly as creative as the mighty Betis (IMG: style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Gilardino.. erhm... yes it is. QUOTE I NEVER put him level with Pato...but then again you haven't completely mastered your command of the obvious. Milan's midfield is vastly more creative than Betis. I'll stand by that any day any time. Keep on defending Sobis. That's fine by me. But do not for a minute insult people around here because you don't like their opinions.

Here is a quote from the Milanfan board rules: QUOTE Try to respect other people's opinions. Personal attacks on other members will result in temporary bans/permanent suspensions In the past few pages on this thread there have been instances of both lack of respect for differing opinions and personal attacks on others. If it continues past this post, the individuals in question will face suspensions.

Keep on defending Sobis. That's fine by me. But do not for a minute insult people around here because you don't like their opinions. and what of Zidane (pre-Monaco), Toni, Pirlo (pre-Inter), Aderbayor etc tc......Really the list is too long of great even fantastic players who all started at unfashionable clubs. By the way Olivera and Gila aren't as bad as you think they simply didn't fit in under Ancelotti neither did a particular Thierry Henry (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Both players are now doing well for their respective clubs. I'm not here to defend Sobis and the Sobis talk has gone on faaaar too long. All I was saying is that he might make an interesting partnership with Pato....why you would choose to attack me so much over a hunch is bewildering (but expected (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ). QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Aug 18 2008, 05:17 PM) Pele should be happy that I even consider him in the same league as Sobis.. which I don't. @ kurtsimonw: who said that Pele is not in the same league as Sobis....my apologies for the over the top rebuttal (IMG: style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
