Since the Ivanaovic transfer/loan failed we should make a bigger effort to prise away Santacroce. It is only a matter of time before he penetrates Lippi's Italy and we should bag him before it happens and his valuation increases

This is from the disputable goal.com source...

http://www.goal.com/en-US/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=820887

It does cite the Guardian...

It states that Xabi Alonso will ask to be sold... I don't think Milan will go for him either way. He would not really have a place in our squad... except MAYBE be Pirlo's backup... but I think Pirlo is superior to Alonso...

Well done Rafa. Play him in the CL, make him worthless, then try and sell him. Idiot.

Well he would be a great back up for Pirlo, selling Puma and Brocchi and having him in the midfield would be great, we don't have a good back up for Pirlo and when he doesn't play Milan never play well. We don't have a good back up for Pirlo but we have 5 defensive mids including Cardacio

But I think it's all BS

I hope it's true. And I hope Milan sign him up after offloading both Emerson and Brocchi. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) It will be worth the price.

I've always hoped that we would get Rafael Sobis....to me he is a fantastic talent and I'm still smarting from us letting Betis beat us to his sig.....no chance we can have him...? To me he would fill our striker spot quite well , though he's kinda short

I wouldn't want to spend 18mm pounds on Alonso. he's not that good.

As for Pirlo substitutes, yeah. That's still a problem. Flamini can do some half-creative things and the reports I've read of Cardacio indicate he's an all round midfielder so that to me would indicate at least some playmaking ability.

Sobis in my eyes is another Oliveira.

Yeah, I do not think that Alonso is worth 18 million pounds... that's a very high price tag...

Tabarez claims that he is a strong and versatile central midfielder, who can cover the defense well ... I think that says enough from the Uruguayan NT coach. Then again, we'll have to see it first implemented in Milan's game plan then comment ..
