QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Aug 7 2008, 02:17 AM) Well that's a good return for a failure of a player.
I would have thought at most Zaragoza would pay 5 million, considering their financial situation. But he did have a good season at Zaragoza so I think we managed to sell him for a good price. QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Aug 7 2008, 03:31 AM) I made a mistake earlier when I said there was nothing on Brocchi leaving. In fact there were rumors, but Brocchi's agent recently denied it. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/?action=read&id=116863There was rumor that he was going to be traded for Stendardo (who I happen to like as a defender)... it's ultimately Milan's call I think though. I was watching Chelsea TV the other day and there was this guy talking on their post match show, I can't remember his name atm, but he is very involved in Chelsea's transfers and he said that Milan were trying to sell Brocchi he mentioned this during the Russion railways tournament. I still can't believe that we didn't sell him to Fiorentina when we had the chance 2 seasons ago (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

I don't really remember. If we sell we don't get shortchanged like Arsenal. That's why I think we need to sell Simic and Brocchi sooner, rather than later. Either way, we got a good sum of money out of Fiorentina and Zaragoza over sales this transfer season.

He's rather stay at Milan collecting his wages and doing nothing rather then going to a small club and having first team football. Either way it would be hard for us to sell those players for a decent sum, we've held onto them for too long to get a decent price on them. And if we don't buy another defender then I can see Simic staying

I don't see any team better then Genoa interested in Brocchi. What could they expect?

QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Aug 10 2008, 04:56 PM) When everyone on here thought he was the sh1t and wanted him played ahead of Ringo (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) I'm pretty sure no one here thought that, if so I might have missed those posts... Brocchi was brought in because he had a decent season with Fiorentina. And if you remember correctly Carlo talked to some paper about wanting a defensive midfielder like Gilberto Silva. The management then scrambled to give Brocchi a new deal instead of selling him to Fiorentina. I can;t talk on behalf of anyone else here but as for me, I never wanted him back and neither did I want him to replace Rino (IMG: style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) QUOTE (Giancarlo @ Aug 10 2008, 04:58 PM) Not a bad sum at all! Considering he completely flopped for us (and I think he'll flop again with Fiorentina, at least in the CL)... I think for Oliveira we got 9-10 million Euros...
I agree with you on that second part... I think Simic is more likely to go though... because he wants more first team playing time... while Brocchi as you said would rather do that... maybe we should loan him out and have the other team pay part of his wage. Well you can never say regarding Gila, he'll be playing under Prandelli the guy who made him the player he was at Parma. Simic does probably want to leave he said it before last season also so you never know, I think it's a waste to keep him and play him twice a season, but considering we're short in defence he might be kept, I'll guess we'll know what will happen by the end of the month As for Brocchi, do you know how long he still has on his contract, because at this rate the only way we'll manage to get rid of him is be him leaving on a free
