QUOTE (MizNelson @ Aug 4 2008, 03:50 AM) Well, Kalac is third pretty much by default right now, and so hopefully Dida will take advantage and give Abbiati a reason to be a little nervous after next Saturday. Yeah, but technically he's only got one chance, and that too against Manchester City in England. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) While his fellow keepers have had their hands full with two outings each. Hopefully all will be revealed by then. It's about who has it in him to step up the ranks, since all our heroes are on the same level (whether by losing out on their mojo, as in Dida, or the fact that they're just not good enough, as in Kalac). Fingers crossed we get the best choice out, one who will help in attaining our goal of any gold this season. Time will tell. As it always does.

QUOTE (GrinReaper @ Aug 3 2008, 06:18 PM) Skrtel, Ivanovic, Kompany, Micah Richards, Garay, Corluka and Heitinga. skrtel was signed just 6 month ago by liverpool, i doubt they'd let him go so fast garay was just bought by real heitinga just signed as a free agent with atletico. ivanovic i was thinking of some weeks ago, i like the idea but it wont happen. it's cheaper to make excuses and avoid spending even though we desperately need it, the only chance we have is that nesta is fit all season and plays even better this season to cover up for the "others".

(IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) Yeah, one match will prove a whole lot. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) This and his de rigueur postmatch speech just shows what a douche Carlo can be sometimes.

QUOTE (acid911 @ Aug 3 2008, 11:45 PM) Please, don't. Eto'o is oh so not coming to Milan. At least not while we've got R80 in the squad. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) They don't get on too well, the last time I checked. Even in Barca, so we should count that out. Get Gomez, or any of those two Russian forwards. Yeah I won't (IMG: style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I don't like him much either. not only he's arrogant, he's very good at unsettling dressing rooms (IMG: style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) used to be a magician a few years ago, but he's not even that anymore after those two injuries.

Getting Eto'o?? Why? I'd rather have someone who will stay fit. At least there was that benefit with Gila. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Looks like it might be back to Gomez. Though it wouldn't surprise me, if we got ourselves, some half decent striker from a Livorno class club..I mean one of those clubs we're on good big-brotherly terms with. Might give one of the Uruguayans in a part-ownership. The new bloke will come in...blah blah about how it's been his life's ambition to play for Milan and how he hopes to learn from all the greats and win lots of stuff with Milan, after which Galliani will say how we've signed an exciting new talent keeping with Milan's great tradition. Of course after this, Carlo is gonna hand 'New Guy' a piece of cloth and put him to work cleaning Seedorf's dirty laundry, while Ambro plays as a striker. (IMG: style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) We're f@cking f@cked this season(again!) (IMG: style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Jose will roll over a Milan without any strikers, and he'll be still be considered the best coach in all of recorded history. Blech!

QUOTE (Locke Lamora @ Aug 4 2008, 04:36 PM) I don't see how someone who has won only ONE CL and no International tournaments can be considered better than Lippi, Capello, Ferguson, Herrera, Hitzfeld and a truckload of other managers I could mention. I don't want to offend at all, but who are you trying to fool besides yourself? you make it sound like Mourinho has only and only won a CL and no EPL titles, no UEFA Cup, no FA Cup, etc. whoever won the CL, won the most prestigious club tournament. that's the HIGHEST achievement for a footballer and coach in club level. what does international titles mean? most people don't even rate Club World Cup, so that makes Mourinho one Super Cup short of a great coach?!... besides, I don't think anyone said he's better than those coaches you named, maybe Captain Jack has a troublesome sense of humor! right now all of those coaches you named are bigger than Mourinho. no doubt. but who knows where will Mourinho be in 10 years' time? some of those coaches you mentioned have never proved themselves in more than one team or one league [Ferguson anyone?]. how about that? doesn't that question the greatness of a coach? doesn't the fact that Mourinho won the CL, UEFA Cup and a host of other titles with a team as ordinary as Porto stand for something? even like of Lippi and Sacchi consider him 'a great coach' and 'a winner' and etc. you're being unfair. no one wants you to like him, but I think it's fair to expect someone to be fair in a place like this.
