QUOTE (Rossoneri7 @ Jun 13 2008, 10:49 AM)
According to SKY Italia ... The Gunners have replied to Milan and they have given the green light to Adibayor .. They are asking 40MM, 5yr contract worth 5MM/season is what is being rumored to be the contract.
Both Galliani and Carlo want this guy .... And I remember Maldini's interview last season, where he was commenting on Emanuel, he said that he was a unique player. Tall, fast, agile and can move in tight spaces (i.e. through Italian defenses) ... He is not a BIG name as Zlatan or Eto'o, nonetheless, if he signs for Milan I would welcome him (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
p.s. I doubt he will end up at Milan though .. It's just this time of the season, where you can't really pinpoint who the targets are
*

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!

Spending that ammount of money will be more then stupid!!! He's not even worth half that. If we are willing to spend 40M on Adebayor, then we should be willing to spend that on Eto'o, maybe he will cost just a bit more, but we will actually be bringing in quality, not mediocrity.

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Sometimes I don't know if Braida and Fester even have a brain

I wish Wenger really asks for 50m! Then we surely won't sign him!! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

This is pretty much what I was going to post. Adebayor is simply not worth that amount of money. I can see why he's liked by Carlo etc - he would probably form a decent partnership with Pato. But we could get better players for the money (Eto'o, Drogba, Gomez - even Berbatov would be available for 40m).

I think we should reserve judgment before we start insulting the management on this one. They've made it clear that they're interested in Adebayor, but they've certainly not said that they'd pay 40m for him. Which makes me think this has come from another bored journalist looking to stir things up a bit (there seems to be quite a few of them around at the moment!). We have quotes from Galliani saying that 20m for Ronaldinho is 'too expensive', and even Carlo said that Boruc at 10m was out of our price range! (did anyone see him last night? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/96.gif) ) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Adebayor for 40m is laughable.

Adebayor? I'd welcome him. But with that kind of money we could try for Benzema or Berbatov.

I personally think that both those would be available for 40M and are twice the players Adebayor is. Benzema especially is exectly the type of player we need, he reminds me of a young Sheva back in his day at Kiev

@Mike. I know it's harsh to bash them, but with the way that things are going I can't help but to feel frustrated, and if now we spend a ridiculous ammoun for Adebayor because we become desperate like we've done in the past (Oliveira) I can't help but to feel p!ssed off at them.

The reality is simple, Inter have Mourinho and a great team, and unlike Manicini, Mourinho is no idiot and will transfor that team of parrenial losers to winners. Roma have a great young team with a talented coach. Juve will continue to build from were they left off last season with some smart purchases and Fiorentina are undeniably building a great, young, talented team of their own, and they also have a great coach managing them.

If we don't do anything this summer then we will find ourselves were we've been these last 2 seasons, fighting for 4th

Seeing how desperate for a striker we have become and having in mind the goal shortage of the past two seasons I have to say one thing:

**** YOU KRISTEN PAZIK!

OMG!!! If we Milan signs Adebayor it will be a sad day for me (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) even for 10M€ I won't sign him, I hope Wenger ask for a huge amount of money and Adebayor will never be mentioned in the same sentence as Milan!!!

Is that £40m for Adebayor or 40m/euros? Either way it's far too much.

He's not good as a coach. He needs to be the adviser. When he was Ajax's manager I wished someone was there to hold him back! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Seen Ramos in the last 2 seasons in Spain?

Alves now in Barcelona won't have the same freedom he had in Sevilla. Plus Messi will play in front of him so we'll see how it goes.

I like both players a lot but Ramos is superior IMO.

Adebyour agent said something cant understand the tranlator is doing terrible on it
