QUOTE (dst @ May 22 2008, 03:53 PM) And why is everyone at City for sale? We should get Elano! Because Thaksin "Sinatra" Shinawatra is a fool, he hasn't got a clue about football and thinks because Chelsea became good overnight that they will to. So he's going to start over really. Only Elano or Petrov are good enough in my opinion. Corluka is a good player, but his crossing is poor, Man City had to switch to a 4-5-1 early in the season to use wingers to put the crosses in, just so Garrido and Corluka didn't have to. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I think he's better at RB than CB, but he'd be another Oddo in my opinion. Great defensively, gets forward well, but the final thing is just not what it needs to be.

QUOTE (Porty @ May 22 2008, 07:51 AM) (IMG: http://images.teamtalk.com/08/02/330/Samuel_Eto_o_668682.jpg) From that 4-list obviously I'd go for Eto'o. His age, his mentality (everything but lazy, always giving it all), his finishing, etc. For those who say after the injury he's shite bla bla bla... he scored 16 goals in 16 matches in La Liga this season (3 months out though) and 18 in 20 official matches. The problem is that he probably prefers EPL or a club that plays the CL (Inter for example). Taking out him, I'd say Drogba. Adebayor and Amauri are not at the same level. +1 ...And even though Eto'o and Drogba are on a different level from the other 2 mentioned, if I had to choose between them I would say Amauri cuz he is already accoustomed to Serie A. I not too sure if Adebayor would (...and I find him to throw away many many chances too - even though he manages to score a good few)

With the never ending possibilty of us being linked with a Sheva return. I think the time is right...truth be told initially I was completely pissed over the manner in which he took off. Not dwelling over the past anymore, I think he has paid his due and he obviously regrets it even more now (I say even more cuz truth be told it wasn't his first choice to leave us in the first place, surely money possibly played part and what not etc. etc., but it was also family decision as well, anyway...I'm not here to get into the nitty gritty of things) Its just not right seeing someone who had the class and ability of Shevchenko to be left on a bench of any side. Why?... because I believe he still has the ability to perform at the highest level and contribute to football. That said I would like it Sheva came back to the San Siro (Milan of course), and returns to what he once was, in fact I might be thrilled. However, given his increasing age, high wages and lack of playing time (and form at the moment) its obviously a BIG risk in taking him back into our team. After all he had the choice to stay or leave and he chose his destiny (whatever the real pushing force behind the matter was... english language or what not (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ) In the end if Sheva returned to us as we knew him before he left us as a great (I see no real problem with it - in fact I see none at all, Milan is a family like team, and part of being a family its about forgiving and forgeting and some cases we give second chances to players to prove themselves, why not to one who has already done so? Having said all that - it would be a real risk in bringing him back, not to mention a shame if he didn't perform well. Well, there's the prodigal son aspect to Shevchenko's possible return, and there's the traitor aspect to his return. What may be okay with Berlusconi is not necessarily okay with the Milan ticketholders (there was a petition handed out not long ago that made clear they didn't want Sheva back).
Morality tales aside, Shevchenko's form has been....really appalling since he left. Except the last two games of Chelsea's domestic season -- one clearance off the line (!?!) and a very nicely taken goal. However, he's two years older now and has two years of having his confidence hammered at and...well, I just dont' think it's a very good idea for him to return.

Zambro awaits Milan news Thursday 22 May, 2008 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Barcelona full-back Gianluca Zambrotta is awaiting news regarding his transfer to Milan, but the deal is yet to be sealed. The former Juventus player would be happy to return to Italy and the Spanish giants have already made it clear that they will let him go as long as the Rossoneri meet their demands. “I don't know what is going to happen. My agent hasn't told me anything yet,†Insisted Zambrotta. The Italian international should move to San Siro for a £6m transfer fee, although the Milanesi may have to wait until the end of Euro 2008 to seal the deal. Meanwhile, Ronaldinho could join Zambrotta in moving to Milan this summer as the months of speculation continue to gather pace. The Barcelona star claimed in an interview with Ona FM that he has already agreed a contract with Milan. The Brazilian will not travel with Barca to Saudi Arabia next week to take part in their friendly, leading to claims that the deal could be confirmed in the next fortnight. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/96.gif) Reportedly, the Rossoneri would pay him £5m per year while the Catalans may settle for a transfer fee of just £14m. and i am waiting for you both .
