Milan surge for Dossena Wednesday 21 May, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Milan are considering the option of replacing the departing Serginho with Udinese full-back Andrea Dossena, according to reports.

The veteran Brazilian, 36, ended his Rossoneri career on Sunday after nine years with the outfit and the club are looking for a similar flying wing-back.

Dossena could be that man after his sensational campaign at the Friuli saw him win international recognition and the interest of Liverpool.

Some reports in Italy on Wednesday are suggesting that Milan sporting director Ariedo Braida has discussed the player with Udinese counterpart Pietro Leonardi.

Talks are set to continue between both parties, but the feeling is that an agreement could be imminent.

Udinese, who have a reputation for unearthing talents, signed the 26-year-old from Treviso in the summer of 2006.

Dossena, whose only previous club was Verona, will probably be replaced in Friuli by Paolo Castellini after Parma were relegated on Sunday.

Juventus and Roma have also been tentatively associated with the versatile Dossena.

I dont know about him , only http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Dossena

So apparently Amauri's lawyers and Juve had reached a deal - 13 million + Nocerino + co-ownership of Lanzafame for Amauri. But then Amauri's lawyers told Palermo owner Zamparini (according to Zamparini) that they wanted 2 million of the 13 million in order to ensure Amauri signed. Zamparini is threatening to call the whole thing off.

Translation please? Anything useful in it?

Ancelotti: Either Drogba, Eto’o, Adebayor Or Amauri

Milan boss Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that the club will sign one of Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Emmanuel Adebayor or Amauri.

The Rossoneri have begun their rebuilding process after a disastrous season, in which they finished fifth in Serie A and failed to qualify for the Champions League.

"It was an excellent season until December, when we won the Club World Cup and before that the European Supercup,” Ancelotti told the Gazzetta dello Sport.

“Then after that we dropped and we struggled a lot.

"It must not happen again. We must concentrate and fight for the Scudetto [next season]. This is our priority.”

Milan have already snapped up Arsenal’s Mathieu Flamini on a Bosman transfer, but their main priority this summer is to buy a striker.

Ancelotti has confirmed that the Rossoneri will buy one of Didier Drogba, Samuel Eto’o, Emmanuel Adebayor or Amauri.

"One of the four [we will buy],” he stated.

“They are all perfect - first strikers with features to solve our problems. We need flexible attackers, who are also able to help the team out defensively.”

Finally Ancelotti commented on the possibility of capturing Barcelona’s Ronaldinho.

"He is a very great champion, and Milan are always looking for champions. But whether he will arrive is not a question for me to answer,” Carletto concluded.

As usual we will end up with the crappiest of all -> Amauri.

I have a bad feeling that he'll finally sign for Milan... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

^^ Ronadinho interview with Ona FM (a radio station) reprinted in AS. According to the interview, the Brazilian has reached an agreement with Milan worth 8 million a season. Ronaldinho is in Brazil to recover from an injury and has an agreement with Barca management to not return for the upcoming friendly in Saudi Arabia.

Interesting news, but it's AS reporting it (they of the Kaka-to-Madrid rumors).

The crappiest is Adebayor. Why the hell are we after him?

It's first Drogba the Amauri and then Eto'o for me. I don't even want to think about Ade in a Milan jersey!

And zd, don't worry.(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

To get Amauri, Zamparini would have to do a deal with Milan and, well, that'll never happen. Remember, Zamparini is a few fries short of a Happy Meal.

I don't know if Amauri is any better than Adebayor... at least Adebayor scored a lot of goals! and is younger, there's room for improvement.

But Drogba must be the priority... hopefully...

Then why don't they just strike the deal with Juve?... Zamparini might be a few fries short of a happy meal, but I think the only thing that matters is what Milan want. if our management want Amauri then I don't think a few millions more can stop it from happening...

(IMG:http://images.teamtalk.com/08/02/330/Samuel_Eto_o_668682.jpg)

From that 4-list obviously I'd go for Eto'o. His age, his mentality (everything but lazy, always giving it all), his finishing, etc.

For those who say after the injury he's shite bla bla bla... he scored 16 goals in 16 matches in La Liga this season (3 months out though) and 18 in 20 official matches.

The problem is that he probably prefers EPL or a club that plays the CL (Inter for example).

Taking out him, I'd say Drogba. Adebayor and Amauri are not at the same level.
