QUOTE (m1ke @ May 20 2008, 04:30 PM) Do you not see this as a positive thing? I used to at one point believe me. I haven't been a milan fan as long as some of you have and that is perhaps my own fault because i live in canada and i am only 18. Before milan i wasn't a fan of any big soccer/football teams and the reason i chose milan is because of the way we played. The red and black jersey so perfect and the emblem made me feel that this was the club i willl support. SUre those are shallow reasons but i really had no idea what or who milan was until i did some research. What really caught my eye was they way we played and sheva. He was magnificient. Some called me a band wagon jumper because milan at the tiime was at the top of the world but even now while were not doing so well i'm still a supporter of milan because for me this club is enough. Why do i like this club? Because at one point i believed that with a good squad filled with young players and veterans which we showed respect to we were able to challenge on all fronts. Who were our veterans? maldini billy, ruicosta, serginho, stam, cafu. These players all have one thing in common. They are class. Players like brocchi, ba, favalli are average and eventhough i personally dont think they belong in serie A or milan others do. I get frustrated and angry when i remember the 3-4 years ago when i saw milan and every game i saw i litterly creamed my pants because the quality of play was so high. When i see brocchi replacing the likes of gattuso and pirlo when they are suspended/injuired etc, i just get mad and think there has to be someone to blame. Maybe its 3 poor transfer windows, maybe its something else who knows.... But i know what i want is for milan to start challenging on all fronts. I do like as much as you people dont think i do, i like the class and family unity to a certain point. However! If it gets in the way of results like it did this year i cannot accept this. We dont treat players like barca/madrid and other teams do which for me is fantastic but what i do wish is that we do at least have some shame and once in a while lower our arrogance and admit that you know what we may have 7 champions league titles but were in the uefa cup now so lets try and regain the respect of our fans correctly and start building a foundation for this club. Having players like brocchi is not going to help that at all. sorry about my rant and sorry to tennie, morgoth and any others who i have insulted. I'm just not happy with this season and don't think we should be as arrogant as we were in past years.

I'm just not happy with this season and don't think we should be as arrogant as we were in past years. A season like this Blue, believe me, it is nothing. In the 90's Milan fell so hard, Uefa cup was a breath of fresh air. But what remains, the only distinct thing that remains is the philosophy and tradition of this club. Nothing is continuous .. For whatever goes up, must come down. And vice-versa (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This is a proud club. Though this season is a low, in comparison with the previous six, it remains to be a special one for the one target which this team and club reached all together. Maybe now because of this season, you feel blue and down, but give it a couple of years, you will remember that Paolo took this club and won 6 CL trophies, etc .. And crowned this club as the #1 in the world. Rui and Sheva, they were great players ... But at their time, they were. Next year you'll see new players coming in, and four years from now new players replacing the ones we have, and so on and so forth. But the only thing that remains, is Milan. For this club has brought many feelings for me and I am sure there are some that share this sentiment here and millions around the world, and it is no coincidence that I love this club let that be in bad times or good times. And no matter who plays, Broochi or Lentini, Milan is whom I support (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

And i guess its my inexperience and perhaps i did miss the glorious days of milan but i just hope the days get better from now on.

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ May 20 2008, 11:29 PM) Try telling that to people who're sick of United. I've been waiting since I started watching football to see the go down. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ya, also there has to be effort involved. if i'm going to apply the laws of physics to a ball, first i have to lift it then drop it. were not going to get to our glory by sitting on our *** bragging about being number one in Europe (according to UEFA (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ). man u isnt at it's best right now because 3-4 years ago they sat around doing shite all. they signed lots of young players of the years and never hesitated to give the boot to certain key players even in their prime! and it's worked out well for them... unfortunately...
