Strachan (spell) Celtic coach was asked about Artur Boruc ... And he said that Boruc has a contract and has to respect it. Then he took it personal by claiming that Ancelotti shouldn't push his weight around to tempt Boruc (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

He added that these days, the best keepers are in Poland and if Ancelotti wants one, he should go get one from there. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

What a f2cking joke (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Well, Boruc has played 4 games against us recently and was superb in all 4 games. Certainly better than any keeper we've got at the moment, and better than most keepers I've seen.

As for Gattuso, I think it's a shame if he stays. I think this proves that the whole 'Milan family' thing does hurt us. He was not at his best last season and has been terrible this season, yet he'll no doubt keep either Ambro/Flamini out of the first XI next season.

Great news about Gattuso. thank god we're going to have great depth in midfield next year.

But for what it's worth, I think it all was a well made soap opera with Galliani as the director! now they're going to repeat the same sh1t they used to say last season when they didn't give up to Madrid's pressure to sell Kaka, that how convincing Gattuso to stay is a great move in the market, etc, etc. this is just a boring strategy, I won't get fooled again!

Well, after the 'Rino's staying' press conference, Galliani is quoted as having said that Milan will bring in 7 or 8 new players.

One of the kids they may be bringing back is midfielder Paolo Sammarco from Samp. He's a Primavera product and is co-owned with Samp.

Rino stays that a great news (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Sammarco is quite good technically (had a good game against the zebras) but I'm not sure about his other qualities.

Anyway I don't think he could be a good replacement for Brocchi (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

I much rather someone else!
Brocchi may try and he fights hard, but it gets him no where needless to say how this helps the team, I wish him luck in his future endaevours as long as its away from us!

ADRIANO GALLIANI:

"I relied on the sentiment which always distinguishes our club. We wanted Carlo Ancelotti to be with us because it was right to talk about these problems in his presence.

19 May is an important date because this is the day we started creating a new Milan, a winning Milan already next season. Later we will talk with the coach to see what his ideas are. The first objective will be the Scudetto, but we'll also try to win the Uefa Cup. We'll have 7-8 new players because we want to cancel out the 23-point gap from Inter."

(IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I know it's hard to believe, but we're going to have a lot of changes. if he says 7/8 new players then 4/5 good players is definite. I think it's time we finally believed Galliani.

+1

For the good of the club I think it would not have been the worst thing for rino to leave and maldini to retire. It would have been a good way to show the changing of the guard. Instead both will probably play on and we'll pretty much see the same team fielded week in week out. Hopefully its a good thing.

I think Rino staying is a good thing. I also think that Maldini playing another year is a good thing -- especially if, as Galliani states, Milan bring in 7 or 8 new players. There needs to be some continuity to the dressing room.

The source is not the most reliable (it's Corriere) but there's a report out that Milan has met with Sampdoria to figure out what to do about the co-ownership of Sammarco and also for Milan to inquire about Maggio (who's an RB. we do need one of those).

The problem is whats galliani's definition of 'new' players.

So far we've got one in flamini and possibly two in lloris. Bringing back loan players shouldn't count, since there unlikely to get a game and hence not going to improve out depth.

Really hoping we can get some quality defenders, particularly with pace, since none of our defenders can really cope with that.
