Brazilian newspaper Extra (?) reports today (8/5) that Ronaldo's girlfriend is going to forgive him for what happened.

If she had not forgiven him he would probably try to "heal his sorrows" in a wrong way again... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

She probably was pissed off in the first place because he didn't ask her to set up the party (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Ronnie's having a baby

Milan’s injured Brazilian star Ronaldo is set to become a father for the second time.

El Fenomeno already has a son, Ronald, from his first marriage to Milene Domingues.

And just weeks after a sex scandal involving transvestite prostitutes gripped the world of football, Ronaldo’s mother has revealed that the Selecao star is ready to become a father again.

Sonia Nazario de Lima told Brazilian newspaper O Dia that Ronnie’s girlfriend Maria Beatriz is pregnant.

After a well-publicised split, the couple are said to be back together and will meet in Rio De Janeiro next week.

It remains to be seen whether a new child affects Ronaldo’s plans to return to the pitch once he has fully recovered from his severed tendon.

The former Inter hitman has stressed his desire to wear the Milan shirt again, but is weighing up the possibility of playing for Brazilian side Flamengo, who have insisted that they would welcome him with open arms.

It has been suggested that having a newborn son may cause Ronaldo to set up home in Rio, rather than attempt a stressful return to San Siro.

Ronnie: What really happened

Milan hitman Ronaldo has given the full version of events that led to a sex scandal involving three transvestite prostitutes.

The 31-year-old severed a tendon in his knee in February, but has made an encouraging recovery so far.

However, the former Selecao star’s reputation has been severely damaged by Press reports that he spent the night with three transvestite prostitutes in Rio De Janeiro.

Even though it has now been confirmed that Ronnie was the victim of an extortion attempt and that original reports he had taken drugs were false, the controversy has taken its toll.

“What happened with the transvestites was the worst thing that has ever happened to me,” he said in an interview with Spanish newspaper AS.

“It was my mistake and I think about it every day. It caused me a lot of personal pain, but it hasn’t changed my desire to play again.

“The true story is that I went to dinner with some friends. We left the restaurant at 4.30am and I did something stupid.

“I’d had an argument with my girlfriend and I was sad, so I was thinking lots. A girl came up to my car and I accepted her services.

“We went to a motel and she called some friends. When they arrived I realised that they weren’t women, but men, transvestites. And then I told them that I had changed my mind.

“I didn’t want to go any further because they weren’t women and they demanded £24,000 or else they would go to the Press.

“But they asked me for more money. I started to negotiate with them because I didn’t want any trouble.

“So they went to the police station and made up lies about me to profit from the situation because I am famous.

“I don’t normally go to prostitutes and I want people to know that. I have always had a girlfriend and I don’t need that kind of service.

“I am heterosexual. I have no problem with homosexuals, but I like women.
I have never taken drugs - I am a sportsman.

“My girlfriend didn’t take it well. She was very angry with me and we argued, but afterwards she gave her support.

“It has been a tough thing for me and also for her. I think that she is also pregnant, but we will wait for the first few months to see if everything goes well.

“I understand that some people may have lost a little respect for me, but I have done a lot for football, for sport and for my country.

“We all make mistakes and I have learned a lot from this experience. I did something stupid and I regret it more each day, but when I return to the pitch and score again everyone will forget it,” he concluded.

Ronaldo has admitted that his dream is to play for Flamengo when he is fully fit and looks increasingly unlikely to ever wear the Milan shirt again.

So do I mate, so do I. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) A season or two won't hurt, Flamengo can wait. He's only just turned 30 an year or two back, and maybe he can stay fit for long stretches of time. If things don't work out then by all means leave to a smaller club.

Agreed...
Honestly I would like to see Ronaldo contibute to the game of football again (and heck, if he happens to be fit enough again, why not for us?!)...We should have sufficient back up by the time he returns knowing the dangers of not doing so
(from this season in particular) in the unlikely event that he should fail to produce the expected standards. After which he should be allowed to leave (once an agreement between the club and himself is met)

In closing if Ronaldo were to play for us again, Great! - I would be happy!
...If not, oh well (it was nice the little we had from him - honestly {not sarcasam})

+1. Very well put forward, TriniKing. Even if we cut down on his salary to half, and keep him fit for Europe, there is no reason why we can't do well in Champions League (or UEFA Cup, God forbid). Serie A defenders are very tough, admittedly. No way he can't do well in both, but even if we keep him for Europe then an year or two of Ronaldo won't be such a bad idea. Our attack has a completely different look to it when R99 is leading it. Napoli at San Siro, anyone? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Like I said, Flamengo is always an option. I only hope it's his last, after he wins a Champions League with Milan. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

i think he should go straight to flamengo. He costs us $100k a week and doesn't do shite. I would rather free that wage up for someone more useful. Gila is going to fio forsure. So we have only inzaghi/paloschi and pato as forewards who are fit.

I agree with Bluesummers, he's toooo injury-prone, I've lost hope for his recovery. Sell him and buy a new one
