I knew Braida rates him highly, and no wonder! Seems impressive for a 21 Year old. Frey V2 perhaps?
I dont watch the French league so i will take your word on Lloris. He would be an excellent understudy though
*

I don't watch it neither (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) I watch just the big matches and the highlights, but Lloris is well known in the championship and he could turn into a good keeper, but if you ask me Mandanda is better ... there's also Rémy Riou (Auxerre) who is good too!

Signing Petr Cech would be like a dream come true. I hope his recent not-too-good form convinces Chelsea managers to sell him! if we get him, we're guaranteed for the next 10 years (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif)

^^

Look at Juve: they paid a world record fee [for a 'keeper] to sign Buffon. wasn't he worth it? he definitely was, still is and will be in the future. Cech is very young and very good, unarguably world class. personally I'm all for it.

Gazzetta said we are interested in about half the squad! Its an exaggeration, but i get what they are saying

Some say that no club actually made that 30m Euro offer (ploy to get better contract) but one of the Italian papers (cant remember which one) says we were the club

Since Livorno have been relegated i am surprised that Amelia hasnt been linked with anyone yet...

More Gattuso2Bayern...

Gattuso Has Played Final Milan Game

According to Controcampo, Gennaro Gattuso has already played his final game for Milan, ahead of his summer move to Bayern Munich.

Gattuso’s club season with the Rossoneri is already over as the yellow card he received in Sunday’s 3-1 defeat at Napoli means he will be suspended for the final match of the campaign this Sunday against Udinese.

Controcampo says that the game against Napoli will prove to be his last-ever in a Milan shirt, as a summer transfer to Bayern Munich has all but been agreed.

In accord with similar reports in the Italian press last week, Gattuso has agreed a four-year contract with the Bavarian giants, worth just over €5.5m-a-season.

The transfer fee has yet to be completely fixed, but both sides are prepared to settle on a sum of around €18.5m.

Gattuso has had a disappointing season at San Siro, and is keen for a fresh challenge abroad to reinvigorate his career.

The 30-year-old will hook up with Italy national team-mate Luca Toni, who has had a magnificent first year in Munich since his move from Fiorentina.

There are also reports that Bayern are looking to sign a third Italian, in the form of Palermo defender Andrea Barzagli.

Wow. For once Goal.com translated accurately. Yeah, the Controcampo article says...what goal says it does. I still hope they're wrong, though.

Galliani is not going to talk about the mercato until after our last game, and personally I think there will be some bittersweet news...

Huntelaar To Discuss Future With Van Basten

Ajax have not given up hope on Klaas-Jan Huntelaar staying with them beyond this summer. And their vice-captain has certainly encouraged them…

The 24-year-old international striker, who’s bagged in no less than 96 goals in 120 outings ((IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) ) in the famous red and white shirt, has told Ajax Life that he wants to win the Eredivisie with the Amsterdam side. And today his agent revealed that a meeting with Marco van Basten is imminent.

Arnold Oosterveer told the same fanzine that everything has changed after Martin van Geel’s departure as the club’s technical director. “Our last conversation took place four weeks ago. I can’t say much, but expect that we’ll meet with Van Basten soon. And then we can make a decision in calm.”

The former PSV Eindhoven, De Graafschap and Heerenveen star had recently suggested that working with Van Basten and Dennis Bergkamp could be a reason for him to stay with the Godenzonen. But that’s not the only reason.

A question of challenges

“I would love to help Ajax win the Eredivisie again. I really feel at home here. I’m well settled.” said Huntelaar, who’s won the Johan Cruijff Schaal twice and the Beker another two times with Ajax, but has yet to be crowned champion.

Huntelaar actually added that he would be prepared to leave the Dutch capital only if certain conditions were met. “A new sporting challenge would be the only reason for me to go. At this time there are clubs with more resources to win them more success.”

Champions League

“If a really big club expressed an interest in me as their first-choice striker, then I would keep my options open. I want to play in the European Champions League next season, therefore I wouldn’t join a club not qualified for the tournament.” (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Ajax have to overturn Twente’s 2-1 aggregate play-off lead if they are to break into the Champions League themselves, but Huntelaar insisted he hasn’t lost his sleep over a possible move. “I’m calm and I want firstly to perform in the play-offs and the European Championship. Perhaps you will hear something [concerning a transfer] in the course [of the final stage], perhaps afterwards. That remains to be seen.”

“Everyone wants me to say whether I’m staying or going. I realize that, but it’s really out of my hands at this time.”

So it was a new contract ploy after all. Eh. Not surprised there.
