A lot of things can happen at the end of the seasin on this market. there are a lot of reasons for him to remain at Milan.] Galliani was interviewed before the match and said flat out that Gattuso's not leaving. We have yet to hear from Rino himself. (The woobie denies all involvement with any vandalism. His attempts at courtship are just...enthusiastic, that's all! QUOTE (MizNelson @ Apr 20 2008, 11:45 PM) Perhaps. Dida deserves better than being backup to F'n Kalac, who's sucked nuggets since the Arsenal loss. There are better teams out there than Nazio, though. Actually Kalac has been into nuggets (and all that sorts of stuff) well before the Arsenal game at San Siro. He was very lucky not to concede at Emirates, and his form around that time was highly suspicious. Before that however he was very solid, and maybe for a couple of weeks the best player in Serie A even, what with all the magic saves he made. His trance has ended, sadly, but he's still between the posts. And I have every reason to believe he will be till our last match this season. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) QUOTE (dst @ Apr 21 2008, 12:04 AM) Hee-hee! You like Dida the man or Dida the player more? Both, please. But even I can't deny that both the player and club have seen happier times together. I guess it's down to his age too, he's getting in on the wrong side of 30s, so the reflexes are bound to be slower. But that's no reason to have him sidelined without any explanation whatsoever. Manchester 2003 seems such a long time ago! (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Dida Vs Buffon

Probably next year Milan will play with 1 striker and however Pato,Shevchenko, inzaghi and new central powerful striker and Paloschi,in addition Paloschi needs to play regular football in a team like Empoli,Siena and Parma who could provide him +30 games a season.
i really dont know where Di Gennaro could end up next year but Empoli would be great place for him,he is still 19 and can make his boom and return to Milan.maybe he can return to Milan to replace Gourcuff.
Regarding Dida,if Carlo doesnt play Dida even if Kalac makes stupid mistakes since Arsenal game,it seems Milan doesnt think Dida in the squad next year.
Kalac might be a good Gk but he is not World class and he proved it since his first game until the last game many times.

I don't agree with you, with 4 strikers available (not to mention R99) we wont play only one, especially if Sheva comes back (he'll not come for the bench). The thing that I can't figure out is how they're planing to play with two striker, Kaka and R10? That would be suicidal in my opinion!

QUOTE (paloschi43 @ Apr 21 2008, 02:26 AM) We can only play with 2 striker only if Kaka plays RM and Ronaldinho as LM but Kaka underperforms there and same goes for Dinho. Sheva had better to go to Dynamo Kiev or smaller clubs if he wants regular football,he has no first 11 chance if you ask me;also considering new central powerfull striker as well.most likely that is not gonna happen bcoz sheva is certain to come

If Kalac is still on the roster and Dida is not next season, something is very wrong with management. From being one of the heroes of Athens last year to this. Unbelievable.

Unbelievable. Well, judging by the past history, I wouldn't be surprised if they did. While I'm very much open to the idea of getting a young, quality keeper, the best bet would be to let him groom under Dida for a season, and then let him take his place. Get someone established, someone around 25 years of age, give or take. But keeping Kalac and throwing out the Brazilian, that's just, um ... But Dida is not a back-up so if he's not first-choice anymore then he'll be let go while someone else will be brought on... that said, I don't think it's unlikely to see this happen.

A lot of this scenario depends on what kind of keeper we bring, (if any at all). Obviously, if we get a top name, it might not work out. On the other hand, if we get someone with just enough skills and experience, someone young and groom him to be our keeper for the next 5-10 seasons, then I can't see Dida leaving for another year or two. Toldo played backup, why can't Dida? I can't decide what's worse: seeing Dida leave, of Kalac staying as second-choice. The guy can be inconsistent sometimes. Very inconsistent. Scary, even.
