A scenario I could see happening is Italy losing in the group stages and Carlo moving on to the national team, and then Milan signing Lippi or Rikjaard. This is under the assumption Barcelona don't win it all, which I think they're the favorites.

You're the king, KingKaka. But even this one wasn't quite able to lift the spirit of Pola (my pet polar bear). He's been down and out since our match with the Gooners. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Yes, true. I believe we'll lift another CL before the turn of the decade, and another couple of them after Paolo's sons join the team - the dynasty will continue. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

By the way, young Christian's team is doing rather well this year.

I'm really looking forward to when Daniel starts, though. HE is the one who unleashed a slide tackle on Seedorf and dispossessed him of the ball (clip on youtube) in such a way that proves to many (including me) that slide tackling is a genetic ability. Pity he's only 6.

Agree with what you two have said, and Tenster and KK. Both the lads are doing well, and if I were them I'd work day in and day out to hone my skills. I heard Paolo and Caesar say that they won't push the kids into choosing Football as a profession, but if they want to they can continue the dynasty. Plus I read Christian even wants Paolo to keep playing (hehe, image Christian's first match along with his father at Milan). I understand it won't happen, but oh, I'm so lucky to be living in the Age of Maldini! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Fingers crossed we make some good signings this summer, starting with some world class strikers.

Age of Maldini...sounds good to me.

Btw...I forgot to mention someone I'd like to see in Milan next year:
(IMG:http://p3.focus.de/img/gen/d/W/HBdWcW3H_Pxgen_r_311xA.jpg)
Maio Gomez

A bright talent from Germany. He was "Football player of the year" in 2007 and he's only 22 yo. He's a very strong guy with a nice shot, he's good in the air, etc.

But then I was almost always wrong when it came to the class of german players, especially strikers (Poldi (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) ...).

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Mar 6 2008, 01:14 AM)
As I said before. I love Zambrotta. But we need speed, youth, freshness on the RB or LB. We need a man who can attack, cross. Zambro isn't bad for that but never the first choice. We need a new Cafu or Sergio. Someone who has a +C/-B in defensive work and a A in offensive...

Mancini, as he was marked as new cafu when he came to roma...we might train him back (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Every Brazilian RB is hailed as the new Cafu! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

There is always a new Cafu, Roberto Carlos, Pele, Maradonna, Platini, Zidane, Linneker, George best, Hierro, di Stefano, Ronaldo, Gerd Müller, Figo.... Damn man, there are even a couple of new Messi's out there! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) And expect to hear of the new Pato next season too...

I hope they both make it to the senior team. Even if Maldini's quality has been halved between them we are going to be just fine! (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

But the truth is I really want a third Maldini era. Another Maldini lifting the CL trophy in the air... then be sure that we will be supporting the same club but with a different name... AC Maldini... and people will see the light and bow before God... and... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sleepysmiley03.gif)

I just had a realization... We could have TWO Maldinis playing in the same Milan team... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

Just think about the potential... WOW...
