I'm with LaPalma too.

GK: Buffon (for some reason I still believe we can sign him if we want to)/Adler/Akinfeev
FB: Zambrotta + a young RB even if he's the cheapest there is (recall Marzoratti)
CB: Barzagli
FW: Drogba / Benzema

And of course as LaPalma said, we'll most probably only sign Zambrotta and a CB. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Defenders:

Zambrotta obviously.

Simic released (though I'd prefer it to not happen, and Simic simply take Kaladze place in the pecking order).

I know this might be unpopular, but I'd prefer to push up Bonera (imo Barzagli is no better than Daniele given enough play time)

Also recall Marzoratti and have Darmian to take Simic's place

Strikers:

If Ronaldo is not here next season, then obviously a top support striker, like I don't know...there aren't many good second strikers left (Mo, don't bring up R10 again).

If Ronaldo and Pippo are here, I want someone like JDT or Gudjohnsen. For those stubborn sides like Atalanta etc. Guys who can drop to mid-field and graft, and still be useful in scoring goals, while being quiet on the bench.

Midfield

I've said it once, I'll say it again, without Andy P our mid-field is as lethal as a samurai with a toothpick.

Once again an unpopular opinion I know, but I'd take Deco. He's the perfect blend of player who can graft at will, and also go forward in attack. Would also be an excellent addition as a sub.

^^^
In the words of Groucho, these are my opinions, if you don't like them- I have others. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

But mine are a lot less ambitious than all of yours, I have tried to keep it as realistic as possible.

Lemme see...

Zambrotta:

15- 18 mill euros

JDT/Eidur: 7-12 mill euros

Top class SS: 25-20 mill euros (esp since it's MILAN on the market (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )

Deco: 12 mill euros

I forgot the GK. I'm just gonna stick with our current ones now. I'd rather see our 'mediocre' GK being protected by a intelligent defence, than our 'superlative'(mega million pound) goalkeeper, saving 8 out of 10 shots thanks to a 'mediocre' defence

Jack... first of all, do not underestimate the samurai!

Our midfield without Andy P is like Porty's posts without the word cvnto...

Secondly... Deco a sub!?? And 12 millions? Less than Zambrotta?? What are you talking about cap'n, the man is a magnificent player, no bench quality of course and he's not going to come for less than 15 million.

We're not going to sign a midfielder anyway... even if I'd love to see him or Essien in Milan.

Zambrotta I think will cost less than 10 million... probably around 8... we wouldn't be interested in him if that was not the case... the Eidur price tag you set is too high also I believe.

I think Barzagli is better than Bonera but then again, I could be wrong. The thing is, I have not seen many games of Bonera in his last two seasons... he was good at Parma. On the other hand Barzagli has gotten better and better. I don't know... it's supposed to be a Maldini replacement anyway so my choice would be Puyol or Toure but...

I wasn't. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) You were underestimating the Milan MF. You see Clarence just might wake up. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) And then Pirlo or no Pirlo, there will be magic.

I'm not much into finances. WTF would Mo do if I knew everything... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I was pulling into play, that Deco might want out of Barcelona for one.

Secondly, that Zambrotta has started contributing to Barca, and Barca realise that Milan want Zambrotta badly enough. Don't forget they paid nearly 15 for him.

You're right Deco normally would not be a sub, but we're talking about building the greatest mid-field on earth so... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

We're agreeing about Bonera. I just feel he will be as good if given enough playing time. But can he take over the mantle when Nesta bids adieu, I don't know.

Jack is right. Bonera is good. If we could just buy some good left and right backs we could play bonera in center back where he is solid.

Attack:

Recall Boriello, Sign Benzema. (Pato, Benzema, Pippo, Boriello)
- I like Marco. He plays with fire in his eyes. He was over doing it his first stint here, but now hell return more confident, and could be a pleasant surprise.
- Benzema is a monster. He has the frame and same instinct that Julio Cruz and Ruud have. Has a LETHAL shot, i mean lethal. He scores from 25+ every two weeks, and im not exaggerating. hes got good moves too..I am 100% sold that he will be the greatest striker in the world for the next decade in terms of sheer goal scoring. If we could somehow get Benzema and Pato together that would be incredible and we would have the best attack around.

Midfield:

If Deco is leaving..HE is every bit as good as Andrea Pirlo..and attacks well enough to displace seedorf. I really like this idea. (Kaka, Seedorf, Deco, Pirlo, Rino) Even when we have to play Christmas tree, Deco is a great Attacking Mid too..and complements Kaka well. Plus with Deco, Clarence would be forced to raise his game.

Defense:
Oddo is so average, I'm pretty much over him. Zambo is good for the left, now we need to go out and find ourselves a nice RB just like Inter did when they plucked Maicon from Monaco..

- Barzagli (he will probably go to Juve or any other team that challenges for the Scudetto not CL qualification zone)

- Zambrotta (mark my words: he will be our only summer signing!!)

- Drogba (if Mou goes to Barca, he will too. and that seems to be the case)

GK: I don't think we'll have any changes... Dida will stay... unfortunately...

Midfield: Haha!...

Lahm, Alves, Ramos, Quaresma, Torres, Villa, Eto'o and Adriano seem impossible to me.

Flamini? omfg. I'd turn Nerazzurri if that little f ever wear the Rossoneri shirt.
And Veloso is good as midfielder. Not as defender.

Of course they seem impossible because milan don't even try to get these types of players. you got chelsea who come knocking on our door and want sheva and they get him, but when we need to buy an establihsed player we settle for inter rejects or players nearing retirement.

Buying any one of these players is a great investment. now i agree not all of them would would have a chance to come because some are untransferable, like torres just went to liverpool, but we should have baught him, he was linked with a milan move but they didnt even try.

Lahm, Alves and Quaresma i think are transferable but we will need to be willing to open our pockets, especially Quaresma who is speculated to leave because of his fans turning on him, but said he prefers spain if he had to leave.

Ramos depends if he wants to leave, if theres a will theres a way he will find his way to milan if he desires, Villa would be amazing but i dunno what he thinks bout staying at valencia....hes not in the press much. with Eto, one week hes gonna stay the next hes gonna go, if he ever wants to leave milan should pounce on the opportunity.

And finally Adriano, after his loan spell is up if inter still think he is not apart of the clubs future he said he would like to come to milan, a great replacement for Ronaldo when we whip him back in shape.

And Veloso can play both mid and defence but he is a defender. Milan just need to be more agressive in the transfer market, get rid of usless players and make some solid additions to the team.

Greek newspapers (crediting Italian sources) claim Milan are watching 3 keepers among possible others:

- Almeria's Diego Alves, Brazilian, 22 years old, 1.85m tall. YouTube Comp
- Villareal's Diego López, Spanish, 26 years old, 1.96m tall, a Real reject. Barcelona vs Villareal
- Nice's Hugo Lloris, French, 21 years old, 1.86m tall. vs PSG

I have only seen the first one a couple of times and he never caught attention. Maybe he did not get the chance to, I do not remember.

Anyway, this is probably just rumors (fueled by agents) but...

Now, I'd say that Milan are going to keep Dida and sign no one for the GK position... but there's a long time till till June, we'll see...

i agree with dst....but i still dont think its the smart thing to do...kalac has been good the last few games but he mishandled the ball 4 or 5 times n i dont think is solid enough to be a full time replacement....but well deserves runner up, but dida is not getting any younger, any healthier or any more consistant, now is the time to invest in a good goalie im not sayin let him start but let him train with the team for a while to develop and grow some confidence instead of eventually having to buy a goalie and throwing out to the sharks and start blaming him if he cant handel the pressure.
