Kaladze: I blew it in Bergamo Friday 25 January, 2008

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Kakha Kaladze has claimed full responsibility for Milan’s defeat against Atalanta on Wednesday night. "It was all my fault."

The Diavolo fell to a 2-1 reverse at the Stadio Atleti Azzurri in a rescheduled Week 12 fixture.

It was a slip-up that could prove costly in the race for Champions League qualification, but Kaladze was surprisingly willing to admit his culpability.

“I accept all the blame,” the Georgian defender insisted.

“Everyone makes mistakes and I’d rather make them against Atalanta than in the game against Arsenal or the Champions League Final, even if it was important to take three points home.”

The Rossoneri must now try and bounce back against a Genoa side on superb form after three consecutive wins.

Milan shrugged the Grifoni aside on the opening day in a 3-0 win at Marassi, but Kaladze isn’t expecting his side to have things all their own way at San Siro.

“It’ll be a very different game to the away game,” he stated. “It won’t be easy but we are going out for the win. We will need to watch Marco Borriello who is playing well and scoring lots - I’m very pleased for him.”

Kaladze ended the interview by discussing striking starlet Alexandre Pato who missed a golden chance against Atalanta.

“He’s only 18 and he is playing very well,” Kaladze enthused. “Maybe he just needs to get used to playing for a side that have matches every three days.”

Why would he? He's been fielded time after time no matter what he does... If the club itself does not care why should he??

He has taken responsibility, first step towards redemption

It was a shame as he was playing really well till his mistake
