QUOTE (pKillerMax @ Jan 11 2008, 03:33 AM) An injury in the 25th minute would be pretty funny. He only turned 18 some time ago, he won't be able to do much this year and even next year. I'm predicting he will turn out exactly like HiguaÃn did for Real his first year. There was a lot of expectations, and although he was very fresh and consistent, he didn't put La Liga on fire. Pato will have give us a hand, but it won't be anything dramatic. Ronaldo could be the one, but that depends on his fitness level. But Higuain is not the kind of player to make you drop your jaw... Pato seems to be much more exciting... anyway... 61,5 hours left. (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

QUOTE Seedorf fears for Pato Friday 11 January, 2008
Milan talisman Clarence Seedorf is excited by new teammate Alexandre Pato’s potential, but worried about the hysteria surrounding his debut.
Pato arrives with a huge weight on his shoulders as Milan look to turn their Serie A fortunes around in the second half of the season and he may start his first game against Napoli.
The 18-year-old has played fewer than 50 professional games in Brazil, but has been tipped by President Silvio Berlusconi to hit 30 goals before June – a figure Pato’s former boss at Internacional has scoffed at.
“There is too much pressure being put on Pato,†Seedorf stated cautiously.
“Our responsibility as the old hands in this group is to protect him so that he can play calmly.
“I am hoping that he can fit in as well as possible because his talent isn’t in question.
“With him on the pitch I don’t know whether my sphere of influence will be the same, but I don’t think that my position is in jeopardy.
“I have been playing the trequartista role for a long time and I think that my performances have made it clear that I shouldn’t be played in any other position.
“But obviously all of is here at Milan are ready to do whatever the Coach asks us to.â€
The Diavolo have the added pressure of trying to overcome their San Siro hoodoo against Napoli – the word champions are the only side in the top flight without home win this term.
“We want to break the curse and we also want to get the year off to as good a start as possible,†Seedorf insisted.
“We need to always be looking to the future and not just living on past triumphs. Our League position is misleading, but we know that we can’t afford to slip up.
“The most difficult thing is to play under this pressure and stay calm, but we need to do just that and take the three points to climb the table.†... (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Jan 11 2008, 01:34 PM) Hehe...the was an online survey on the Gazzetta HP and they wanted to which nickname or new attack trio Kaka-Pato-Ronaldo should have. Their readers voted for Pa-Ka-Ro (instead of KaPaRo and KaRoPa). -->Gila wasn't even mentioned (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

QUOTE (Jack Sparrow @ Jan 11 2008, 12:34 PM) Gilato is an ice cream here in Malta (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) (IMG: http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) As for Seedorf's comments and everyone else's that have been saying that we shouldn't put pressure on him, they shouldn't have hyped him up so much in the first place if they didn't want pressure to be put upon him. From Berlu to Galliani to Carlo they've all praised the kid like he's some sort of football god and now that the time has come for him to make his debut everyone is backtracking on their words because no one knows for sure what the kid will actually do once he gets on that pitch. They should have left him alone in the first place and not made such outlandish comments like 'he'll score 30 goals by the end of the season'
