Wow. it's quite impressing 23 goals in 54 games for an AM; and he's just 25. I'd like to know R10's record in the CL... |

Yesterday (Wednesday Nov. 7th 07) was the last day to vote for the Ballon D'Or .. Sky Italia had voiced that the majority of the votes were for the Brazilian and that the Milan management are fully aware of it.
Upon the team's arrival yesterday at Milan Malpensa, after Kaka' was interviewed with a journalist, he was caught laughing with Carlo and a couple of journalists caught some o fthe conversation; where Carlo told Ricky "..you know when Sheva won the Ballon D'Or, he bought me this gold watch .. so i am expecting something much more from u, maybe a heavy check.." and Kaka' replied "how about dinner at Parma .." referring to his appetite ... Bottom line is, I like how Carlo is close to his players, something which is rarely found tehse days in teh world of football. |

For me, my dad is 65 and we are real good friends, in fact the best of friends .. so from my perspective it is different. Furthermore, my boss is also a good friend of mine, we travel together and socialize in almost the same circle of friends, etc etc ... A coach is a coach, yes ur right ... I don't go over the edge with my dad .. and neither do i do that to my boss (at least during work (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ) ... But overall, it makes for a much more relaxed environment to interact with these people whom are real close to u. Therefore, Carlo is the coach and the players are his players, but the special relationship that he has with them, shouldn't go unnoticed, and I think he has built a great relationship with them. |

All I'm saying is that the roles should be clearly distinguished. You are a friend to your friend and he is one to you too, the role is the same while this is a more complicated relationship...

yup I get what ur saying ... And i understand where ur coming from, but these roles can be interpreted differently (as i explained above) .. So on the training ground and during a game, there should be the distinction between a coach and what he demands from his players without being biased to the relationship that he has with them ... But off the field, it helps better the understanding between player and coach.

Yeah .. i just hope Kaka' keeps doing what he does best without being too overwhelmed .. As he is usually a decent young lad, who doesn't have the 'CR' attitude, which gives me comfort from this aspect at least.

He does tend to show off a lot that's true but that doesn't mean he's not trying to become better. I think he has great ambitions, what he lacks is humility... |

I guess I just like more direct players .. Rui Costa or Figo (as Portuguese) these type of players that don't do all those step overs and are more of team players than what CR usually does.
Don't get me wrong he is a player that has received recognition from across the world, especially the EPL awards that he had received, he truly deserved. But it is a matter of personal taste, I mean Ronaldinho is much more direct in his play than CR .. though they both tend to do those step overs, Ronaldinho moves the ball more often than CR .. In the end it is a matter of personal taste. And dare I say experience |
