Unless there's a monetary reason to having him play...more people turning up.

Friday test with Athletic Bilbao

October 8, 2007 - The Milan friendly faces in the Athletic Bilbao on Friday evening at 20.45, in Spain. The company has formalized the red on its website. For Ancelotti will be an opportunity to see yet tested Pato and perhaps even for review in Ronaldo

I'm not entirely sure he'll play Friday.

He's still training apart from the group (though he IS training and not doing physiotherapy).

In the 'good news' department, Maldini IS training with the group. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

It's just NICE to see Pato being captained by "God". (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) I hope he plays on Friday.

On Ronaldo's weight

I have just recently heard of the reason behind his weight gain from a friend (merda) who followed the Brazilian forwards career for sometime now.

When Ronaldo got that horrendous knee twist, he was considered finished! As one of the doctors that operated on him, told him that you are finished just like Van Basten was finished !!

He was then, by the help of Massimo Moratti, sent to an American specialist doctor in the states who brought Ronaldo back to the playing fields. He advised Ronaldo to put weight on, because his speed was the main reason for his accident (he would run lightening fast, then in a an instant halt). The doctor told him that with a weight gain, he wont be as fast as he used to be and thus he wouldn't put so much pressure on his knees and is able to continue his career.

p.s. this isn't me, this is a merda friend whom followed Ronnie's career. And in all honesty it makes perfect sense as to why he gained weight.

Wouldnt putting more weight put more pressure on the knees, due to thee simple fact that those same knees would need to carry a heavy weight?

Of course that is also a case for discussion on the subject.

But the ultimate thing that keeps him playing is that he isn't running as fast as he was, which refrains him from "running lightening fast then halting in an instant" ..

I'd be wary about what your friend's smoking, R7. Sounds like a bunch of nonsense to me -- unless said friend has medical records and the like.

Problem is the stash is with dst and Porty ...

Well, whatever the reason behind it maybe .. It is an opinion from him. Other than that, you can stick with R9's obsession with Bigmacs (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
