FT Valladolid 1-1 R.Madrid, Saviola.

Madrid doing "a Milan". (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Still... they're in first place with 10 out of 12 points.

This game, have you seen it? Milan did not play like this against Parma or Siena.

Valladolid were truly better, Reals apprach and football disgraceful. First half they managed to cross to Valladolids half for a few times, then in the second when they conceeded finally they started to look like a professional team.

Also, the referee was below zero. Salgado should have been sent off and a penalty shoud have been awarded for RV. Also many minor mistakes and stupid decisions. They changed the ref in second half (a supposed injury (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ) but nothing did happen. Still, brutal tackling by Diarra, Ramos and the others without consequences. I started to watch the match as a mild Real chearer, but their football transformed me into a Valliadolid fan rapidly. Disgraceful this Madrid, really disgraceful. Damn Saviola and Nistlman. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Calderón Held At New York Airport

Ramón Calderón was held in police custody at a New York airport after his name was mistaken for a person who is on the security services' list of suspicious people.

The Real Madrid president was visiting the United States to with wife when he was stopped and asked to accompany the police after being picked up at JFK Airport.

Calderón is reported to have been on his way to visit his daughter, according to Punt Radio, when he was stopped and taken to a holding room.

An administrative error has been blamed for the mix-up, but Calderón still had to spend three hours in custody while the authorities checked out his identity.

The Spanish Minister of the Interior, Alfredo Pérez Rubalcaba, who is a good friend of the Madrid supremo's wife and a big fan of the club, was called into help sort out the mix-up.

Everything was cleared up after agents were able to prove that his surname matched a person registered as 'suspicious' by the police.

When that had happened data confirming Calderón's innocence, including photos, were sent from the nearest consulate and he was allowed to go free.
I hope they did a full rectal exam on him... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Sevilla-Espanyol is almost over.

Espanyol took a two goal lead, Sevilla got two back. Tamudo just gave Espanyol the lead back in the 90th minute. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

FT Sevilla 2-3 Espanyol, they get their UEFA Cup Final revenge.

Sevilla is doing awfully bad right now. I guess Puerta's tragedy and the thing with Dani Alves did make a lethal impact to the clubs stability,..

That does seem to be the reason ... But they didn't get a chance to breath. I mean, Milan then Arsenal then Barca; each thumping them on the go ...

I think they will do well on the long run, come the end of the season, they will be in the top 7 places of teh table. CL ?! Theyw ill be knocked out faster than Celtic IMO.

Barca up 4:1 after half time. That's what you do when you are playing good - SCORING GOALS (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Even if they do pass the group stage (as I predict Celtic will) ... Whoever they will meet will knock them out. They just don't stand a chance in the CL. I would love to label them as the black horse, but realistically speaking they lack a lot.

Even as a Sevilla fan, I agree.

I think experience counts for a whole lot in this competition, and Sevilla just don't have it. If they get any half decen team in the round of 16, I think they're out. (I am even thinking I'd prefer them to finish 3rd in the group to put them back in the UEFA Cup - try and make it a hat-trick!)
