Benfica drew 0-0 against Guimarães at home... bad performance, bad result...

Didn't watch but it's not a surprise.

If Milan sell Kaka', Pirlo and Nesta... we'd be in trouble right? So that goes for Simao, Miccoli, Karagounis and M.Fernandes.

TBH I dunno what they're fighting this season. Just hope next Wednesday they "survive" in Denmark and get the CL passport.

FCPorto 1-0 Sporting Lisbon

Stupid mistake by the new Sporting's keeper.
And there it goes... FCPorto for the 3rd league in a row. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

2 matches played: FCPorto 6 points; Sporting 3; Benfica 2

Yup. Good goal btw.
Cardozo (they new striker) scored the other 2. We've to watch out with the left foot of this guy. But their new real star is without a doubt the argentine wonderkid Di Maria.

Porto won 3-0 and Sporting 1-0.

They just showed highlights from the Portuguese league (they do this on Tuesdays) on the football news program. The ball definitely went over the touchline on that cross for Porto's second goal. Bad call there (or does Pinto da Costa own all the refs?). Rui Costa's goal was very pretty, ran around 3 defenders and put the ball right into the corner. And yeah, Cardozo is going to be tricky.

Porto would never lose points against Leiria. They're like their primavera team or so. Very good relation between the 2 clubs.

More than Rui or Cadrozo: Di Maria. Watch out this Benfica wonderkid.

di maria played for argentina right? i saw him a few times (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) what a lively midfielder, he was all over the pitch. he could have easily won the MVP over aguero.

Yep. It's him. Really quick and agile guy.

Benfica bought him to sub Simao for 6M/euros. The guy is still 19.

Katsouranis just renewed his contract with Benfica. He'll earn about 1M/euros per year.

Many Benfica fans think he's one of their best buys (3.8M/euros a year ago) in the last decade - they love him. Everyone respects him here and consider him one of the best in the League.

Benfica winning 2-0 at home... 35min.

Rui Costa scored a class-goal. One of the best I've seen this year. I'll try to find the video.

With the new formation that we play, it would have been wise to had held on to him. He is just such an exceptional player.

I've never thought about that. What a bad move it was letting him go.
