His cv might be better but you are talking about the past:rolleyes:  Dida was probably the best keeper in the world back in 2003/4 but is far too shaky nowadays. Yes he is still a great shot stopper but his judgement is awful for crosses etc. Last night seville's goal was his fault - a great keeper doesn't get beat like that! We are just lucky that we have such a  strong team(plus Carlo has changed tactics for Europe which we needed (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) ) and that Seville were'nt  really in it.

To say that Dida is currently better that either Cech or Buffon is ridiculous.
*

I agree. It doesn't matter how trophies Dida won. Fact is that in the past two years he has been unstable. Yes, he can be brilliant but he's equally capable of making some ridicules mistakes that even a rookie won't do. I would prefer a much stable keeper in Milan.

BTW Cech is only 25 (Dida is almost 34). Of course his CV isn't as big but there is no question who's better.

He is (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif) A Rossoneri after all ! Oh and I think it is fair to say that his CV today looks much better than Cechs and Buffons put together (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)
*

Buffon's main honours (29 years old)

* Italian Cup: 1999

* Italian Serie A: 2002, 2003 , 2005 and 2006 (last 2 revoked)
* UEFA Cup: 1999
* European Under-21 Football Championship: 1996
* UEFA Champions League runners up: 2003
* FIFA World Cup: 2006 (winner)
* Yashin Award: 2006

* Onze d'Or - Best Goalkeeper: 2003, 2006

Cech's main honours (25 years old)

* IFFHS World's Best Goalkeeper:2005
* Best European Goalkeeper:(2005, 2007)

Chelsea

* FA Premier League (2005, 2006)

Dida's main honours (34 years old)

* Campeonato Brasileiro: 1999
* Copa Libertadores: 1997
* FIFA Club World Championship: 2000
* UEFA Champions League: 2002-03 (hero in shoutouts, although buffon made many saves as well), 2006-07 (did more bad than good)
* Coppa Italia: 2003
* European Super Cup: 2003, 2007(nearly cost us this game)
* Copa América: 1999
* FIFA Confederations Cup: 1997, 2005 (plays for brazil (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )
* Serie A Goalkeeper of the Year : 2004

in the end having a better CV or not doesnt make you better than sumone else. simic has a better CV than Terry. does that make him better (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) ?

Buffon has won the world cup and 4 serie a titles compared to 1 scudetto for dida. the only thing dida has done besides buffon is the CL and buffon could have won it and been the hero had his juve teammates had done better.

oh and look at their ages, dida is 10 YEARS OLDER THAN CECH!!! where was dida at that age? oh he was bum on the streets. and buffon has already accomplished more.

Anyways, back to the game, I have to say Inzaghi's blunt diving got on my nerves a little bit. Gila and him are having a little competition of their own I guess. They both need to stop. Milan don't need that kind of thing.

It's not a matter of how you love a certain player (I don't have a problem with him). It's just that a team like Milan needs a more consistent keeper IMO.

Nonsense .. Dida is #1 (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/mad.gif)

Yeah, that goal was his mistake ... But, even though he does have those one-offs, he is pretty steady at goal most of the time.

I mean, if we are to criticize Dida for letting in a stupid goal as that one, we might as well scream at Inzaghi when he is caught offside ... Why don't we ? Because a goal keepers mistake costs us a goal for each mistake ... And considering the way Milan have been playing in the past 4 years with Dida, Milan have done great IMO (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

In the end, Dida is one of my favorite players !! So, I don't mind if he concedes a goal like that, just as long as the team wins the game in the end ... Cuz on the nights that actually counts, Dida out performs himself every time (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

i'm with you here! i can honestly say Dida has been the only keeper that i've liked since i started following football.

He's not even in the first 5. Again 'in the past two years he has been unstable. Yes, he can be brilliant but he's equally capable of making some ridicules mistakes that even a rookie won't do'.

It's not only last night it's the past 2 years. He's not what he used to be. You can ask any unbiased football fan (and you totally biased). I think Milan deserves a better keeper.

I get it you like him but it's pointless to go through with it coz I don't gonna change my view and I know you won't (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I'v known u for two years now !!! and u still don't get it do u (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

hehe .. Anyways, whether I am biased or not. He is a Rossoneri ! Even with his performance last night, he will rise up again and help us win another trophy, and if he is at 100% maybe two (as we already have one in the trophy cabinet already (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif) ) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif) (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devilsmiley.gif)

Maybe if it doesn't involve Milan, I would be as lenient as can be on any issue. But u bring Milan into the discussion and I wont budge (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
