Jankulovski is very hard working. I really appreciate the focus and dedication he has brought with him ever since we signed him.

Seedorf's gesture of taking his shirt off and showing Puertas's name on it. PRICELESS!!!

These are the things that make me proud of being a Milan fan.

THIS SHOWS CLASS!!!

At the end ... after the victory picture with the trophy ... MALDINI gathering and shouting at his teamates (not a bad thing I just think he wanted to keep the celebration within the respect line) ... also PRICELESS!!!

Il Capitano is just Il Capitano in the field ... wether he plays or not ...

Who saw Emerson jumping on Kalac's back ..... I think he already feels confortable in AC Milan.

WHO SAW RONALDO ...... they tell me it was that skinny guy with an afro ... WAS THAT REALLY HIM?????? I can't wait to see him back.

My only worry is that I hope our team is able to rotate the players enough to give everybody some rest ..... the season is going to be loooooooong.

I honestly think this team is going to get even closer this season .... I can see Kaká taking them to church and praying with them. Il Cardinale Kaká!

Berlusconi: We are the best

President Silvio Berlusconi was beaming with pride after Milan became the most successful club side in the history of world football.

The 3-1 win over Sevilla earned them the European Super Cup last night – their 17th international trophy.

“We are satisfied with the victory. Now we are the most successful club in the world with more silverware than any other, overtaking Boca Juniors,” said the patron.

The Rossoneri will take on Boca Juniors for the Club World Cup – formerly known as the Intercontinental Cup – in Tokyo in December.

“I am also now the most successful President in the history of Milan. I am happy about that.”

However, the celebrations at the Stade Louis II in Monaco were muted following the death of Sevilla player Antonio Puerta earlier this week.

“The atmosphere within the squad and the locker room was very different. One could not sense that competitive fire that is usually present in a Final and it was evident in the first half on the field, too.”

Sevilla were leading 1-0 at the break, but Milan rediscovered their form in the second period, overturning the result with Pippo Inzaghi, Marek Jankulovski and Kaka.

“When a colleague dies it affects us all in this sport, especially the players,” added Berlusconi. “Of course we dedicate the trophy to Puerta.” (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/king.gif)

By the way, was Gourcuff even on the bench? He was nowhere to be found in the trophy presentation.

Yesterday we made agreat comeback. Sevilla was dissapointing, but that's only cause they played against Milan. Everything seems to be fitting at this moment, even Kaladze mad a solid and strong match. Still, some things should be corrected. Here are my ratings:

Dida (5) - really poor. one of his worst matches ever. the goal was funny and stupid at the same time. dida looked unconvinceing and very indecisive in every situation, he ran infront of nowere, moments he looked like and amateur. i hope it was his sholder. but last season dida made some very similar errors. if he starts to do that more often, we have a big problem

Kaladze (7) - solid, good for headers, no passing errors, got upfront when needed, hold back also when needed. above expected.

Nesta (8) - brilliant. saved a sure goal from the line, allways did the right thing at the right moment, supported Oddo on the r-side, was unbreakable.

Oddo (6) - motivation and passion could be found in every of his many moves. He is trying very hard to convince, but the RB could also be a problem. too many inprecise crosses for such bold offensive runs. made a lot of passing errors, but his tackling was great.

Jankulovski (7) - just like Oddo he is trying, and succeeds more often. his goal was absolute power and brialliance, his movement was all the time very good and his covering more intelligent then usual. still, room for improvement left.

Gattuso (7) - had a very bad first half, and a great second. His cross for Inzaghi was even above his standard and after that he gained even more confidence.

Pirlo (8) - pure skill and inspiration. every single pass was charming and at the same time more then usefull. only his corners were not that good.

Ambrosini (7.5) - no mistakes, no false passing, he was an example for everyone. he stopped Alves mostly and did the ruff and tuff work in a very elegant manner. soon we'll be used to see him lifting more throphies

Seedorf (7) - helped with his creation when needed, but sometimes lacked of percision. still covered a wide field very well. his grand gesture to Puerta/Sevilla when substituted was just as big as his character

Kaka (7) - covered even more space then Seedorf but wasn't enough determinated. did some very good defensive stuff wich really suprised. made some characteristic runs, but did not managed to end them in the way he did lst season, but that's just cause it's season start. also, earned the penalty and scored the final goal.

Inzaghi (8) - superpippo is really back. it's his third renaissance, he is really a cat with 9 lives,..

Milan fans (10) - do I have to say why? (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/devil.gif)

I'm having this paranoid thought that he is upset and did not take part in the celebrations... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Is 5 also the lowest that you give, I thought that was quite generous for Dida. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

No... he would be sold right away if he did that. And by rights I must say... I've bashed Carlo for not using him more than once but this is only the beginning of the season, he'll have lots of chances (I hope)!

I don't believe in that anyway... so don't think about it!

QUOTE (Fillipo Simone @ Sep 1 2007, 03:55 PM)

I agree... but I dare say Pirlo deserved a 9 for last night's performance! He covered much space and creatively, he was out of this world! I never expected a deep-lying no.10 could be so effective!! Simply outstanding...

True,..but he took the corner kicks not that good...I mean, it is a tiny little detail, but still, that's why it is 8, not 9. He had more then 2 corners, still he crossed allways to the first post. Those attempts the Sevilla defenders cleared with ease.

About Dida,...well, we did won, and he conceeded only one goal... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

No, I don't think so, Yoann himself has said more then once that he is still learning and is working hard to play as much as he can. I'm sure that he doesn't expect a place by default in every game we play, if he really wanted that then he would have never come to Milan in the first place.

He is a good kid, and I'm sure that he doesn't have any attitude problems.
