If you're looking at it like that then adapt it to Alves. It's not he got married to Sevilla, and wants out straight away because he feels he's too good for her. THAT is far worse.
*

alves was promised out, while sheva came out of nowhere the summer of the calciopoli when we needed him. had we won the CL in instanbul or won the scudetto the following season he would have stayed. he was probably eying chelsea for a bit but he took the step when he dint feel like going down with the ship even tho he was one of the teams leader (he was alternate captain after maldini).

Sheva wanted to leave, he left. Yet everyone seems to hate him.

Dani Alves wanted to leave, didn't. Yet everyone feels sorry for him.

That's how I see it, that's how it is.
*

Not everyone hated him. Many, had/have different opinion about tha (including me of course).

As for Alves, also, everyone has his own view on this.

How can you guys compare Shevchenko with Alves situation?

Shevchenko played in a top-club with history and tradition, with a top-salary, with top-teammates.

Alves plays for Sevilla. He earns 4 times less he could earn in Chelsea or Madrid. He and Kanoute (maybe Navas long-term) are just too good for Sevilla like it or not.

By the way, who's Sevilla? No history, no titles (CL or La Liga), no tradition, no top-salaries, maybe 1 or 2 world-class players.

Seriously... (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

btw i dont hate sheva, i still have my poster of him up. i just think what he did was cuntish. he had the chance to be a true great sorta like del piero did when he stayed with juve, and had we went down to serie b sheva would be have been considered one of the greatest ever figrues for milan. now he's only a great player that played for us.

see the main diff

sheva is our 2nd greatest goalscore of all time.... and one of the best players to play in recent times

who is alves? he's been a world class player for maybe 2 season now.... is alves one of the best players in the past 20 years? no. is he a legend for sevilla? IMO no, and if some consider him it's cuz sevilla hasnt had many great players.

You can't just look at it like that all the time. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Surely that means the Shevchenko thing wasn't as bad then? He's leaving a top club who can easily replace him, it's much harder for Sevilla to replace Alves and he knows that.

This is why I'm very 'pro-EPL'. People call English people arrogant, but we won't insult a smaller club because they're not infinitely succesful. A small club needs to hang on to a player now and then to make themself big. If it wasn't for Milan keeping their best player in the early days they would be nothing, just like every club.

I didn't insult Sevilla. Just said the truth: they're nothing. Just an average club in the history of La Liga.

The race of snobs died off a long time ago in this country. They're all violent hooligans nowadays. Why do you think every country sh!ts itself when they have to play at home to England. (IMG:http://cyrus.medialayer.net/~m1ke/milanfan.com/forums/style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
