QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Feb 5 2012, 02:49 PM) And this is what annoys me. We are winning under him and people still think he's "doing it wrong". Which is exactly what I meant by my comparison in the other thread. 2 coaches he won yet the fans wanted gone because they don't like how they play. Winning? We won a scudetto last season, as in past tense. What matters is the now and the future, not what we achieved last season. And this season we're on course to actually hand over this title to Juve.

Last season we won the scudetto because our rivals dropped a heap of points and virtually handed us the scudetto... Allegri wasn't a good coach last season and he's not a good one this season... Decision making is poor and doesn't play any sort of entertaining football.

We won a scudetto last season, as in past tense. What matters is the now and the future, not what we achieved last season. And this season we're on course to actually hand over this title to Juve. I didn't realise there was a timeframe that decides whether someone is a winning coach or not. Current coach of the Champions is Max Allegri, so yeah, we're winning under him. Lack of logic lacks logic. Don't you think if our rivals are dropping points to lesser teams, as well as ourselves, that maybe the rest of Serie A isn't "****" as you most respectfully put it? And by the way, the points total we got last season would be enough to win the title in other seasons, it's not like it was a fluke one off where we won it with 70 points or something.

Current coach of the Champions is Max Allegri, so yeah, we're winning under him. I made an emphasis on the past tense because you base all you pre-Allegri arguments around the fact that he won us the title in his debut season. While Carlo only managed to do so once. Fair enough, I always agreed with you that Carlo should have done better domestically and it was an achievment on Allegri's part to win it during his first season with us. That being said, that is still in the past. What I and other fans care about is the now, and this season we simply have not managed to win any of the games against our direct rivals. And if we do not win the title this season, we will be the ones who lost it, not Juve winning it. Simply because Allegri has the best squad in the league, and there should not be any excuses

QUOTE (William405 @ Feb 5 2012, 02:34 PM) Well, since you said that he learns from his mistakes, and adapts. Then, doesn't that show that he has a great character, and is willing to have several plans if one fails?Heck,Inter's first coach this season(forgot his name??) kept on using the same tactics and failed again and again.. I was referring to my prior assessment. I said he usually makes his mistake right but repeats it a few matches afterwards again. One step forward, two back (IMG: style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

Ahhh, this discussion starts to be boring. How much credit should Allegri be given for "his" scudetto win?

QUOTE (kurtsimonw @ Feb 5 2012, 10:07 PM) A lot. Why shouldn't he? Because he has been handed a talented squad that he has managed to turn them into boring players and they sometimes lack motivation. A good coach would be able to make these players play beautifully and we should be getting more out of them.
